Then he finishes stacking devourer, presses R and then Q on one of your carries, oneshots them and is fed despite being 1/6.

What is the problem here? the item, or is Warwick broken until an adc buys qss?

It does, though. It's just Sated won't proc the double-hit, only the normal on-hit magic damage.

If I'm not mistaken, the 60 on hit magic damage does interact, meaning in total, that changes his ult's base damage from 30/50/70 to 90/110/130 On hit magic damage, 5 times is 450/550/650

Warwick is a terrible example of this imo. He's strong but Yi and Udyr are the two biggest piles of crap ever with devourer. Shyvana is bad too. A better example of the 0/6 thing is Tryndamere top. top as in literally he never left top lane and then won the game despite feeding like crap for the first 10 minutes.

Good thing most people can't use Udyr, and to an extent Yi.

Yeah, I always talk bad about Lee Sin, but that's more because I see him often. What I really hate and dread are those other two, although Yi is played kind of a lot atm, but thankfully yes, not many use udyr.

I didn't say Yi and Udyr weren't used often, I said that people didn't know HOW TO USE them well enough to kick everyones ass.

Today, when I played Garen for the first time, I went 0/7/0 in lane to Teemo.

Then at 25 minutes, when I'd built my rushed item 3053 with 80 cs, I 1v1'd him. Then I built item 3078 and another while I got 5 more kills.

Balance.

(Also, as someone noted, his ult does not benefit from phantom hit in any way. If he actually manages to stick to you and auto, then yeah he hurts like hell, but how the the hell that champion would manage to stick to anyone is beyond me.)

Yeah, warwick does way too much damage with devourer. But he will probably get remade soon, anyway. He's very outdated.

You know Devourer deals just as much damage for Warwick as everyone else in the game, right? Even if it's Sated, the maximum damage Eternal Thirst can deal is 66. I don't think he does way too much damage.

In my opinion, items that synergize with on-hit are problematic from a design standpoint due to their tendency to be broken on some champions and worthless on others.

Warwick's always been an edge case. It was the most obvious during the Preseason 5 changes and has commented on him multiple times before, even preparing a rework for him that got shelved when the official rework team got formed.
