So yeah. My buddy gets 7-3 in his promos and gets bronze 1.

I get 7-3 with AMAZING stats and I get bronze 3...

Last season I fought tooth and nail to get to silver in the preseason... so Basically I was silver last season...

Thanks riot... Just....just.... forget you and forget your broken money grubbing system....

1st match lost: I went 9-0 in my lane but our team didn't work together aparently cause their mid, jg, and bot adc all had 6 kills each by the time I got my 9-0 so yeah we lost that

2nd match lost: We were up by 6 kills early game and our top mal Dc'd and we lost 4 on 5

3rd match lost: A genuine loss. But LCS players lose too soo everyone losses

And just in case some anti-bronze assholes wanna tell me I didn't do good enough here are my 10 ranked game stats

Game 1: Kennen 12/11/2 DEFEAT (first match lost) Game 2: Alistar 2/2/23 VICTORY Game 3: Alistar 1/4/21 VICTORY Game 4: MissFortune 8/2/7 VICTORY Game 5: MissFortune 9/2/4 VICTORY Game 6: Jinx 8/0/7 VICTORY Game 7: Kennen 7/2/5 VICTORY Game 8: Jinx 5/4/1 DEFEAT (Second loss with Mal Dc'ing) Game 9: Kennen 1/7/10 DEFEAT (Genuine loss, Pan top counters kennen) Game 10: MissFortune 11/2/12 VICTORY

SO RIOT You're telling me that when I finally got to silver last "pre" season

And after I won 70% of my games, where I was matched with, last season, silver players thank you very much.

And after I only went negative in my KDA twice even with the 3 losses

And after I literally went with no more than 2 deaths in all my Victories (except for when I played supp ali with 4 deaths :O whoopi-do)

AFTER ALL THAT YOU"RE GOING TO TELL ME IM BRONZE FUCKING 3???

**Complete Rant is coming so continue if you dare. The point of this post is the upper half. The part where Riot bitched slapped me and spat in my eye for the time and money I gave them. **

Puts me against silver... and I beat the shit outa them and I get put into bronze.

LOL im moving on

I honestly hope upon all hope that another gaming company with more standards than broken ass systems comes along and replaces this Monopoly that Riot has on the MOBA universe

Honestly they release champs that are broken as balls so the players spend more money on getting them and getting skins and buying rune pages for them and buying special wards to make you feel like a badass right.

And then they give us an update every couple weeks where the broken ass champ changes into a new broken ass champ and the CYCLE REPEATS

Not to mention the the new champions that come out that are even more broken. The REVAMPED champs that become broken and the new updates and metas that make them even more broken. ALL MAKING YOU WANT TO BUY OR SPEND YOUR TIME ON EVERY SINGLE BROKEN CHAMP.

MONEY

Thats all Riot has become now. A half-ass money making machine. Could they honestly care about their fan base? They appeal only to PRO'S and the SHEEP that spend all their money on this game.

Tell me average league player how many times has you spent well over 60.00 on league? I know plenty of people that religiously buy 20 dollar cards every 2 weeks on their pay check.

SO lets take ONE player and see how much money Riot will get off them

SAY you're one of the many that I personally know, including partially myself, who puts in a lil ole 20 dollars once or twice a month.

Then you play league for 3 years

That boys and girls is 1,440.00 from one person in 3 years.

Now that sounds pretty crazy because you're saying to yourself, "well I don't spend that much... I've only done that a few times."

Well boyz and girls. That one single fan girl paid for the worth of 24 people buying a 60 dollar game.

Meaning that One retard can make up for 24 other smart people.

So in the course of your league career if you have ever spent more than 60.00 on this game than you have spent enough money to buy.

The Witch Hunter Destiny the Taken king Fallout 4 Fallout 3 Elder scrolls Skyrim Elder scrolls Oblivion Battlefront etc.

And for what?

A Game that raises your blood pressure and makes you want to slit the throats of all the trolls that ever come your way?

Im done with league. I've put too much time practicing my champs, learning the meta, adjusting masteries and runes and play styles. Learning how to be effective AT ANY ROLE. Learning to work with and depend on 4 other random retards who don't understand how to play

I've invested so much of my mother f'ing time and I have 0 to show for it.

Thanks riot cause you know for A FACT that the MAJORITY of the money YOU MAKE COMES FROM BRONZE and SILVER and GOLD players.

THe try hard no-lifes who get to Diamond and Challenger are the HUGE MINORITY

People complain about 90 minute waits cause no one is in the same league because of how little the population of league exists on the higher branches of the ladder.

THIS GAME IS NOT ABOUT SKILL AND HASN"T BEEN FOR A LONG TIME this game is about TIME ONLY

MOVING UP THE LADDER

YOu'll get about 20 points maybe for a single win from points 0-100 for ranked matches. So 5 wins = 100 points, lets do the math

1 match equals roughly 20-50 min so we'll go with 35 min in the calculation. Meaning that this number can be much much higher or or lower.

BRONZE 5 That is 5 wins in a row = 2 hours and 15 minutes Then 2 out of 3 to move to next ladder = 1 hour and 10 min BRONZE 4 Then 5 wins to get to series = 2 hours and 15 min Then again 2 out of 3 = 1 hour and 10 min BRONZE 3 5 wins = 2 hours 15 min 2 out of 3 = 1 hour 10 min BRONZE 2 5 wins in a row = 2 hours and 15 min 2 out of 3 = 1 hour 10 min BRONZE 1 5 wins in a row = 2 hours and 15 min 3 out of 5 = 1 hour and 45 min SILVER 5

SO in total moving from Bronze 5 to SIlver 5 takes +/- 17.6 hours Not to mention the weeks it takes to get to lvl 30 and the weeks it takes to actually become good at this game to win those kinds of matches

SO if you WIN EVERY SINGLE MATCH (not including anti-smurf mechanics that move you up multiple ladders for the sake of technicallities) WITHOUT ONE SINGLE LOSS YOU WILL MOVE FROM BRONZE TO SILVER IN 17.6 hours of game play

So lets triple that because you will not win every game and you will not win every series and you may have a bad streak of luck and even move down a ladder soooo that'll make this

53 hours or 2 days and 5 hours of your time to move from bronze 5 to silver 5

Lets put that in the perspective of a job

You get paid 10 dollars and hour, that equals 530.00

Or school college classes are like what 1-2 hours once or twice a week?

So that would be roughly 25 weeks worth of a single class, which translates to 2.0833 Years worth of that particular subject.

SO IN THE 53 hours you spent playing league to get to silver 5. You could of done nearly 5 semesters of something you love to do. Art, programming, mechanics, etc. And could be moving places in life.

ALL IN ALL this game is a waste of my time, and a toxic poison to everyone who plays. If you're a super chill dude who just wants to have fun good luck cause losing sucks ass.... and 90% of all League players who are lvl 30 including riot employees know this.

This game is addicting, toxic, a blood sucking vampire of your money, blood pressure raising, POS that I will never play even close to "seriously" again.

*raises hand to crowd, and flips the bird.

SP Dodgecity1 votes

Wouldn't be in silver or bronze if league wouldn't keep resetting me back to bronze at the beginning of the season lol XD

I honestly don't think Gold or Plat players are all that better tbh. Diamond and challenger is a little different

But I've won against Gold and plat's plenty before so the difference is time spent playing without stopping not skill.

SnugglePuggle942 votes

If you had read the whole boards when the season started, you would have found that League is doing a soft reset. That means they place you lower than where you are supposed to be so it's easier to climb out, like you get 30-40 LP a game and your MMR is better. Stop with your pissed off words and calm down. Please.

SP Dodgecity1 votes

How does that make sense again? It doesn't XD I know about soft resets and I get it. It doesn't make it a good system

You're saying that League thinks, "huh this guy is decent, put him down 3 ladders below his actual rank and make him play with people who suck so he can quickly climb the ladder back to the spot he should already be at...."

SnugglePuggle942 votes

I don't know why they are doing it. I don't agree with the system either. I'm not happy with my placements either. I have to climb through Bronze again too. But I'm not bitching about it to the boards and the community.

SP Dodgecity1 votes

Did you play Destiny when it first came out??? If you did then you would know how much of a shit game it was, not because it wasn't fun but because the Producers of Destiny made decisions that forced players to grind their eyes out to get anywhere or to have any kind of satisfaction.

What did the community do after? They bitched like hell over the BS that was released and demanded a system that wasn't designed to force you to grind grind grind grind.

Now Destiny came out with the Taken King and was placed as a very popular game, a redemption to the franchise and now they're really going places with a system that does justice to its players. Its still not perfect but its getting there.

League is the same way but league went with the "boil them slowly so they don't know they're dying" method. If every league player stated that they think the system is unfair, ridiculous, and down right stupid. Then Riot WOULD CHANGE THE SYSTEM

You really think RIot is going to change any system if you don't say anything about it?

You said yourself that ,"Im not happy with my placements"... " I don't agree with the system" but you sit there and you take the poorly designed system, for what?

If you speak out on a problem and bring it to the attention of the producer and the producer starts to LOSE MONEY, then they will change and make it more player oriented. But that will never happen if you don't voice your opinion on what you said already that you don't like.

Sachabot2 votes

I disagree with you. You're the one who let it stress you out and take your money. Am I being shoved back in to low Bronze after several seasons of work to finally get out into Silver? Yup. Am I raging and bitching over it? Nope. It's not worth it. If you're angry and don't want to play any more, that's okay. You're not required to play a game that's no fun for you. But to tell me it's stressing me out and taking my money when it's doing neither? That's just you. Don't put your shit on me or the rest of the community.

SP Dodgecity1 votes

Yes Im raging but anyone with a brain would know that the system isn't perfect and would know that when there is an imperfect system, the only way to change that system is to TELL THEM ITS BROKEN.

We have high elo players waiting 40-90 minutes for a match. (broken) We have low elo players fresh from getting to level 30 that don't know what they're doing (broken) We have medium level players who are stuck inbetween "no Life" pro's and stoned out noobs. (broken)

We have a meta that changes frequently and demands that you change all your runes/masteries/champions which costs you time OR money.

The ranked system isn't at all a good system and IT CAN BE FIXED but no one will put in the time to fix ranked matches if everyone just sits back and takes it like clueless sheep.

Wanna learn how I got really good at other games or other real life sports? I went up against people obviously better than me and got the shit beat out of me relentlessly until I learned how to play against them and eventually learned how to play very well. That doesn't work here because the bad stay with the bad, the ignorant never learn, the no-lifes give up all their time to become better, and the ones stuck in the middle get screwed twice as hard.

Its funny cause you don't even play ranked. How would you even know? Oh wait you don't. Look up my chart on lolking.net and see exactly why im so frustrated. You'll see a sharp line of progress shooting up and then a plateau in the preseason and then a tank that lowered my score to the lowest point its ever been since last july. So it reset me 7 months. That seems broken to me...

AMYS GRAVE1 votes

Sachabot1 votes

but anyone with a brain would know that the system isn't perfect

Insulting people rarely gets anyone to agree with you or empathize with your position. I said nothing about the system being perfect, merely that you let it get to you. I'm gonna suggest a full break from the game. Go play something that isn't going to cause you to get angry at your teammates.

We have high elo players waiting 40-90 minutes for a match. (broken)

And they always have. It's because the system keeps them in their own tier instead of trying to find a quick match, which would drop them way down. There are less people at the top, and most of them are adults with non-professional gaming lives. Not broken, just a mild inconvenience.

We have low elo players fresh from getting to level 30 that don't know what they're doing (broken)

This is a bad thing, but it's not broken. Ideally, there would be a system to teach people the basics as they get stronger, but that's probably not going to happen. So when I meet people like this who want to get better, I direct them to a coaching/learning stream. I can't force people to get better, but I can give them the tools for self-improvement.

We have medium level players who are stuck inbetween "no Life" pro's and stoned out noobs. (broken)

That's what happens when you're working to improve but not top-level material. Also not broken.

We have a meta that changes frequently and demands that you change all your runes/masteries/champions which costs you time OR money.

Mostly incorrect. Meta shifts aren't really a bad thing, it keeps things interesting. Runes haven't been super optimized for seasons, so at the low levels there's no need to change them frequently as long as you have your basics covered. They also don't actually cost any real money, so it's just time to grind them out. Masteries take neither time nor money. You should be able to put together a page in about a minute. Champions area real time-eater, but you can optimize by finding a playstyle you enjoy.

The ranked system isn't at all a good system

Compared to what? I hear this a lot, but no one has suggested anything that's actually superior in enough aspects, or the suggestions aren't feasible. And really, there are quite a few worse systems in multiplayer games, even with respect to genres.

Wanna learn how I got really good at other games or other real life sports?

Not really, because I do things other than play games. You're not someone I asked for advice, and you didn't tell me anything I didn't already learn myself. So cut the condescending crap, you're the one bitching about a game.

I went up against people obviously better than me and got the shit beat out of me relentlessly until I learned how to play against them and eventually learned how to play very well. That doesn't work here

Really? You can't do that here? Are you absolutely sure? Because I'm pretty sure if I asked one of my high level friends to scrim me and then coach me, they'd probably be down to give me a few pointers after wrecking my face. Or talked to one of those coaches that do streams, or payed someone to do it if I really wanted to. I mean, you're really grasping here.

the bad stay with the bad, the ignorant never learn, the no-lifes give up all their time to become better, and the ones stuck in the middle get screwed twice as hard.

This is just straight salt. Also, why does it bother you that people like this game enough to devote serious time to it? You clearly have something against the people you call "no-lifes" even though many of them have lives and jobs and go to parties and shit. Do you disagree with their lifestyle choices? Or are you envious that you aren't as successful?

SP Dodgecity1 votes

I like the time you put into your post, and I admit a lot of your points are good but that doesn't stop the fact that the ranked system needs improvements, and improvements never come without someone pointing it out enough for someone to care.

I admit my post was an angry one, league is the only thing that really gets to me because in any other game, when you put time in, you get a feeling of accomplishment.

Yes I do believe putting that much time into a game to have anything to show for it is not wise at all. People have their freedom to do what they will, but that doesn't make it right.

Yes I go to work, school, parties, and go hangout with friends often, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays every week even. I don't like how the system is built because it demands many many hours to feel any kind of accomplishment.

Until you've played with me for multiple games, or until you've watched my matches you can't really tell how good or bad a player is.

It makes players feel in-adequate or better yet it makes players feel like they're not good enough when they come to a community that looks down on low elo players. When in reality I do have friends who are very High elo (Diamond) and they invite me to their matches and I do just fine. I don't have a hard time against them. The only real difference is the amount of time we put in. He's young and has no real obligations so he spends every waking moment outside of school on league to be in Diamond and to maintain his rank. I don't have that luxury and I admit I never have.

But I do put in time reading each patch detail, reading each champions description. I try to get any champion that counters my mains so that I can learn how they play and how to better counter them. I practice cs'ing, I ward, I watch my positioning, I work with my team to win, and I really enjoy having a nice game with friends.

But when you play a game for so long and you try your best and when you look back at all that time you put in, all you see is a community that spits on your opinions because all they see is your rank and not your ability.

Only once have I had a high elo player, step down, and help me get better at the game. He watched a couple of my matches and gave me specific things I needed to change. Mainly to farm better and to update my runes. Things got much better afterwards and I had much better performance in my matches. But again I look back at all that time and see nothing. Absolutely nothing changed. Community still treats me and mostly anyone on my "rank" like we're all in the same boat. Like we're all fresh from leveling to 30 which just isn't accurate or true.

Yes my post was heated, and yes I am very frustrated about the game, but that doesn't change the fact that the system needs work.

I'm very happy with the 2016 ranked update with champ selection. That was a good step forward, they need to do more updates like that. I was very excited to play this season because I was finally seeing progress in my game. I worked hard and got out of bronze and was doing nothing but moving up. Now I literally have to start over. I was literally placed in Bronze 3 where I was last year, even after grinding to get to silver 5.

How is that a good mechanic? If a player in a game is doing good, then you should show them that they're doing good, not throw them back down to where they started and tell them to do it all over again. That makes no sense. Others are more succesful because they devote much more time.

I'd love to address each one of your comments above but I actually have some plans that I'm going to be late for.

Thanks for the time you put into your post.

just get out of bronze? like...if you look at the map once every like 10 seconds and put down 5 wards you'll probably get out in like 2 days

SP Dodgecity1 votes

Lol I did get out of bronze already. Last season. Spent a lot of time grinding to do it. I got a lot better at the game too while learning how to do things better.

I even started a warm up routine where I would do 1-2 CS'ing practice games in custom. Then 1 or 2 normal matches to get into the swing of things, and then I went into rank, and until recently, I had about a 70% win rate. But what do I get for all that hard work. Literally nothing, not only Nothing, but I got put right back where I was at the start of last season.

Little Stick Man2 votes

right you got out once so do it again. you had a 70% win rate it should take you two days to get out, maybe even one day if all you do is play league. like its not hard. I can't stress that enough its so easy just keep playing for like 6-8 hours and youll be silver.

Nice good job, but your actually in Bronze 1 right now and you're the perfect example. Why are you being sent back to bronze when you were in Gold/High silver?

Unless you tanked your promo's, but if not, then that makes no sense either XD

If you were gold last season and you got 10/10 with good stats then you should go back to where you were OR you should go to one ladder lower.

But you shouldn't go 5 ot 6 ladders lower that makes no sense. Unless, again, if you tanked your promos

What gets me the most is that I do well in matches but I'm going to have to change my champ mains to be the hyper carries because you can't rely on anyone in bronze to help win the match tbh.

Thanks for the comment, you seem like a chill dude. I just don't like being reset back after fighting my way up. Thanks though

Nyaboron1 votes

Riot doesn't purposely drop you into the shitter, you earn your way there one way or another. Your mmr is shit, you need to grind out some wins before you can get a decent amount of LP per match again. OP.gg says your mmr is below where you currently are, so your games didn't go to waste, you were placed higher than it was going to place you to begin with so be happy. It always drops people, I was placed Gold 1 even though i was plat 2 end of season. Back in season 3, when I climbed out of silver for the first time (and only time ive had to), I got to silver 1 with 99LP. I won my next match, got +0 because my mmr wasnt high enough to go to promos, so I played again. I won again, got +0. I won again, +0. Another game and i finally lose and instead of losing the 10-12 i was used to losing, i only lost about 5. I won the next 2 games and went to promos. I earned my spot by grinding mmr in ranked, and that's what it comes down to. You have a ways to climb but there's hidden math behind your LP gains/losses and your placements. Riot isn't making you do bad, it's the same system we all go through so therefore it must be you. Just because you do well for a few games doesn't mean you get out overnight.

SP Dodgecity1 votes

I put my in game stats up above for you to see. Only in the last day or too has my win ratio dropped in normal matches and ARAM matches. Which are usually my warm up matches before a ranked que. Love it when you say that it obviously me and my game play but I put my stats above and you can check them on op.gg all you want they'll be the same.

Plus if you really were on op.gg to check your stats often then you would know that 926 MMR was the "Average now its up to you to win" MMR from last season. Only the description has changed not the value XD

Last season MMR for bronze 3 when I left it was around 720-830. Which means that most Silver players have been dropped to the "trenches" again.

Here's some perspective for you.

If an NBA team plays 10 matches in pre-season every year to determine their rank with other NBA teams. Leagues logic states that after those 10 games we're going to put that NBA team back into College ball for the first half of the season. It makes no sense and is a waste of time

SP Dodgecity1 votes

ALSO, league already stated that they're doing a soft reset which does mean they put you in the shitter on purpose. XD

Nyaboron1 votes

Most-to-all people got put lower than they were, so your mmr went from average from where you were to now below average for where you are. And I'm not talking about a few games of stats, that's what you refuse to understand. It's never about the stats, I can go 10/0 and afk for the rest of the match jerking off to my kda, but if I don't help us win with the lead then we lose. I can also do shitty as bard, but land a couple amazing ults late game and win the fights for my team (which is one game i had last night). I wasn't on opgg to check stats, i was there to check mmr and it was about what i expected. To climb out of the shitter you need to be good, and and you need to grind. If you claim to be so good, then you still need to put games in and climb. You can't just win 10 games and be diamond, try to climb high enough to not get demoted as hard next year. I went from high plat to high gold but I didn't complain. I earned my way up because I'm better than them, and now it's not far to get back to where I was and beyond.

League is a team game, you have to find ways to help your team succeed. If you are taking all of the resources from kills and getting good cs scores, you have a personal gold lead. Use the gold lead to take objectives. Turrets give global gold and get your entire team ahead. Roaming and killing champs on sprees will give global gold and get your team ahead. I manage to carry solo queue from support with few-little resources, and a bit of shot-calling to keep my team on track and not get distracted with noob tactics like kda or early dragons. If someone is dying, I don't roam to help them because it's not time cost-efficient. If I let them die and instead push in and take a tower, or even get a few waves of creeps to die to their tower, they lose gold and their reward from the kill they just got is diminished or even a net loss in some cases.

Either get someone to coach you, or watch trick2g's bronze spectates. He trashes every little thing those players do and you can reflect on stupid shit you might do similarly. If you were so good, you wouldn't be where you are. There's no conspiracy against you, drop the ego and get to work.

SP Dodgecity1 votes

I understand what your saying for sure and thanks for leaving a comment, and I do agree with you. A big thing that happens is players, especially fresh from leveling to 30, assume its everyone else's fault. I used to that too, but I did have someone coach me and I honestly have put in a lot of time to get better, I do Cs practice once or twice a day and I always do 1 or 2 warm up matches in normal just to make sure im on point during ranked matches.

And I also agree with what you said about stats. I did have really good stats and we won a lot. But those couple losses were because our team wouldn't focus together.

I've noticed that in bronze especially. If you don't carry your team and do everything to keep them alive, then you'll lose easy.

Im just saying that I actually did really good and I won a lot of my matches and I still got thrown to the wolves. Thanks for your comment though I agree with a lot of it.

Now go & do it again since being in X tier is all about consistency.

You have plenty of time to reach Silver again this season, and it shouldn't be that hard if you actually belong there.

MOVING UP THE LADDER

Well clearly if you don't have the skills, you simply won't climb the ladder no matter how many hours you put into it.
