Can we talk about how broken ADCs are?

I've always joked about how games come down to who has the better ADC, but...

Games are LITERALLY defined right now by who has the better ADC.

350 bonus health, 30-40% lifesteal, magic resist and a pure cleanse, etc. etc.

ADCs have become the most mind blowingly OP class in the game, held down only briefly by the overpowered cinderhulk + challenging smite combo. With both of those nerfed ADCs are just trolling every game. I feel like this is crazy, I know the boards are low ELO but it can't be THAT different down there, can it? ADCs are LITERALLY just trolling over entire matches right now and we're talking about a tank meta?

ADC's are not broken at all. Their early game relies on getting cs and farming up for their first item. They can be easily shut down early in game, which makes them useless.

When a class is 100% picked (assassins, depush mages like orianna ziggs, bruisers) they are directly nerfed by items or balance changes (gral nerf, or assassins nerf)

but then, adc are never nerfed of course ^:) despirte being 100% picked

Meh, you can have a match where there is no assassins, tanks, mages or hell, you can even swap out supports with whoever that has some kind of potential to be a makeshift guardian at bot lane.

But don't you dare swapping out ADC with someone else.

See the point?

It's not that ADCs are OP, it's just the game itself is literally developed and balanced around their presence being essential in every game. And that's indeed very annoying.

imo, if you can't play a comp wihout adc, it actually means that adc as a class are broken.

Oddly enough... You can't play any comps without a Top Laner... Therefore Top Laners must be broken!!!

adc does not mean bot laner the lane that the adc takes is meta because it is a slightly safer lane to control we are disscussing the class marksmen/ADC the position of lane is a players choice as during an lcs lane swap the adc and support go top lane and the top laner probably a Tank go es bot lane

you can play bruisers, tanks, meleecarrys, mages, assasins and even ad-carrys at top, pretty much same for mid, though tanks and bruisers are not seen often mid.

Outside off brinze, where everything is possible, you won't find a botlane without adc. You won't find a team that desides to put an azir, yi or cassio bot with an support instead of an adc.

Has anyone tried? Sorta jumping the gun to declare it impossible before anyone attempts it.

(And before everyone rushes in with their second-hand anecdote about a double-bruiser bot losing: how about you try farming someone w/ range instead of running a double melee lane?)

i played them alot in S3, but since my normal-mmr reached plat/dia level, it doesn't work. It's kinda early cheese that relys on stomping the enemie lane with something unexpected and snowball from there. But after faceing better enemies, they usually called the cheese and managed to not fall behind to far, and later in the game, the adc just outscales everything. However, we managed to win with 3-5 adc comps....

well, it is alot differnt in lower elos, if an adc doesn't have proper positioning and kiteing mechanics and also lacks actuall peeling from his team, it's quite easy to roll over him with tanks/bruisers/assasins

However, i agree that ADC are borken, and always were, as they are picked in 99.9% of all comps, and nearly all comps resolve aeound killing the enemy adc or protecting the own adc. And if played well, it's just to easy in the lategame to roll over entire teams as adc.

Well the 20% life steal on item 3072 is too much, and the item 3140 way too cheap. ADC's not broken but the ad itemisation is a little bit too powerful. They should rly tweak down this 2 item a little bit. The only broken thing among ad carries is the beloved Kalista . But she can't be rly fixed without making her trash or change her gamestyle.

AD is intrinsically broken. At full build, a melee ADC who does not build crit can sustain and blow up squishies and apply sustained damage to tanks at a high enough level to be worthwhile.

At full build, an ADC who builds crit does MORE damage in TEN SECONDS than a BURST MAGE. Its something like 10,000 damage vs 8,000 over ten seconds. with 300 or so AD vs 700AP. Why do ranged ADCs get to have the extreme safety of a ranged champion, and the burst damage of a squishy mage? Not to mention that when you factor in lifesteal, RADCs have the exact level of toxicity that we explicitly nerfed spellvamp for.

Because they get none of the benefits that mage gets (AOE, utility, good defensive items, burst). If ADC was as OP as you guys make it sound, they'd be running it in the other lanes (only exception to this is Corki & he builds Luden's ffs).

ADCs are the easiest role in the game to kill. Most lack dueling mechanics, and those that have them lack team fight mechanics. As an ADC main, I always fear being alone. If I run into ANYONE except for the support or the enemy ADC while solo, it's curtains for me. If I run into two of anyone it's extra curtains for me. Hell, even getting spotted alone can be a death sentence, because high mobility assassins and tanks can catch up to me before I can make it back to safety. And CC = automatic squish.
