Can you still play kindred top?
A few long range champs are good top and i remember that kindred could be played top awhile back, can she still be played there? If not then what changed? I was curious cause they did nerf her jungle pretty hard.

She can be played as a top laner, but they took away her healing so it isn't that good, but to be honest its never really been good in the first place, maybe as a niche counter pick.
I just thought it would be worth trying since this meta has been a lot of ranged tops and carry's and kindred is both of those.
In my experience, anyone can be played anywhere, given the right circumstances.
Kindred would do well top, if they are against an immoble tank, like Cho'Gath, Mundo, maybe even Darius.
Alot of Kindred's power relies on the jungle. She isnt nearly as good in fights early on, and her inability to get stacks without risking it in the enemy jungle/scuttle is rather huge. Alot of Kindred's damage comes from her passive, so without an easy way to get stacks, or atleast be able to contest for the stacks, you are at a major loss of damage. They lowered her armor and mr, so that goes against you a bit. Her heal was what kept her in lane, so that you didnt need to back much as her kit doesnt allow for much healing, outside of buying alot of LS items due to the lowish damage her abilites do. Hope this helped!
Yes it did, i just tested it and while laning wasn't hard, it was against a heimerdinger and that's a lane that no top laner can really do well with so i'm gonna try it again and hope i don't get donger.
I can understand the issue with her marks, i didn't have very many in that game but my damage was still pretty consistent. And i didn't have trouble with healing cause of BORK and Vamparism mastery(and cookies).
Edit: I dont think it's necessarily great maybe good but definitely not bad.
The build i was going for was BORZ, BC, Steraks and then i'd just adapt from there but i don't think BORK first is good on her top lane.
Kindred's laning is heavily affected by the opponent. If its someone who can harass hard, while still farming, you will likely lose. I dont like Steraks, how about a Frozen Mallet instead? This would help make sure you can kite while still getting a health boost and a damage boost. Go ahead and still get Steraks, I just find the item fairly meh, but thats just my opinion.
I would try a Mallet, BORK, Steraks, Thirster, Hurricane, and Deaths Dance. This will give you plenty of healing, damage, and a slow for kiting, and stopping opponent from escaping. I havent tried this build yet, but in theory (and despite its high cost) I think that it could work out. Obviously, you dont need to build the items in that order.
That build worked really well actualy Frozen Mallet was great , i built BC instead of DD and still had really strong life steal but we lost in the end due to an ADC that refused to group. Also i feel like Steraks might be able to be replaced by something like Phantom Dancer that gives 12% damage reduction but i'm not sure.
I got an S-
True, however, Steraks also gives a shield along with more damage if it gets that far. Mallet and Steraks give an extra 1200 health, and BC would be a good choice in the build. Phantom Dancer might work better, im not sure. In terms of health, I think Stareks would be better, but again, this is just my theory crafting. I may be wrong, but I can see why you would want PD instead of Steraks. Let me know how that works out for you ^u^
