Vayne,Beyond Meta resistant

DISCLAIMER:THIS ISNT A POST ABOUT HER BEING BROKEN QQ

uhm..lets start at the very mark of her monstrosity at season 5,where with jinx they were picked almost all the time had high win rates and stuff

now the marksmen update broke her due to a likely unintentional feature of item 3087 item 3094 stacking in damage, think we all remember that cancer

now when that was removed, more of the spell caster adcs or more of vayne primary lane bullies like Kalista Lucian Corki started showing up a lot more(especially lucian even to this day his play rate is high),yet somehow vayne picks were still uncommon to say the least even with her counter rising up in the meta she survived, maybe it was her late game awkwardly due to the snowball meta

her life became slightly easier when corki moved mid instead of adc, thats 1 counter down Obviously it was easier..nothing changed honestly lucian and kalista were still extremely strong..

now we are here the passive less aggressive meta with all sorts of tanks Vayne should be strong in a tank meta right?well in such a passive meta which a lot of vane's may enjoy she can't really snowball in less aggressive lanes,i mean that was the whole BS point in season 5 Vayne she supposed to have a terrible early yet could still play aggressive when played right, now passive lanes help her a lot..mean she can do the special move called the 10 minutes of farming into absolute destruction(again when played right)

Right now IMO she is quite balanced, and the 1 survivor of riots balance team she was changed thrice in S5,1 was a bug fix and 2 changes to her BASE AD right now she is untouched and a watcher of season 6 as other adcs come and go she will remain an eternal survivor...

Edit:thanks for all the replies,i say she is balanced only because of tanks, she is a hard carry and can 1 vs 1 with any adc with ease(that doesn't happen to be Corki god fuck that champion) she can make some really smooth moves, her laning is mediocre at best depending on match up,to many adcs just overpower her in niche or simply utility(she can provide some disengage for her team on a single target but thats it)

does she need buffs?possibly, what worries me is Vayne has no middle ground in the balance department and when it comes to balance is quite fragile to touch, she either breaks or blows

sincerely,a Vayne Main

I'm not some kind of meta-master but I'm pretty sure Vayne is honestly garbage right now

The problem is Corki/Lucian will shred Tanks (and anything else) way sooner than Vayne will which in most cases will be disastrous for your team, and even when you reach late game it's not like Vayne does that much more damage than a normal ADC (if at all). I'm actually more scared of Corki's mixed damage than Vayne's true damage because at least against most Vaynes if I run at her she'll shoot me significantly slower whereas Corki and his 5 APM requirement doesn't lose DPS when he kites.

That's not even to mention how Vayne has a miserable time in lane whereas Corki/Lucian are strong bullies.

I don't believe Vayne is garbage. She counters tanks quite well. But it is true that she has a rough laning phase, and often her support needs to carry her hard.

{quoted} Feels like the only time Vayne is remotely viable is if the opposing team is running a setup with an extremely beefy frontline, with like 3 tanks an adc and a midlaner. Otherwise I don't see any reason to ever pick her when there are so many superior choices at the moment.

I have found that Vaynes are heavily team-dependent. If Vayne is caught out, or insufficiently protected, she will die.

All of that said, Vayne is the only ADC I feel I get wrecked by no matter how hard I carry my ADC. (I usually play tanky supports.) That is to say that she naturally counters tanks, Lucian, Corki, etc. need to be fed first.

Maybe 'garbage' is a little over-exaggerated but there are easily 5-6 more preferred ADCs in this current meta

Also Dynamic Queue just makes her even less favored because a coordinated team is going to want to push an advantage, not sit back and play the farm game.

True.

I am often lane partner with lanes, and I can ensure you she wrecks ass. Her mobility is pretty much unrivaled, has a stun, high burst, and good at surviving. Corki can be odged, can run out of mana easily, his escape/engage has long cd, he has no solid cc and his basics hit way less. And I1d somewhat argue about Vayne not being able to bully in lane, Tumble is an ideal spell for small engages combined with her passive.

I don't agree, while I utterly hate Vayne I will stand at her side on this.

Vayne is weak at the moment, no matter how you look at it. She might have the league's absolutely most experienced playerbase, but her winrates does not reflect that. She bring nothing to the table that champions of newer designs do not trump, Jhin is better for executing single targets, Kalista brings better utility while being just as if not even more slippery, Kindred... just fuck Kindred man.

As a player who likes playing Tanky champs, Vayne used to be a champion I feared. I don't really fear her at all anymore.

Vayne isn't really in the meta right now. Sure she kills tanks really well, but we don't have the supertanks of yesteryear - It's not uncommon for the support to be the only tank on a team now, and they don't have the items to be resistant to any other ADC to the extent you need Vayne. This lets you pick another carry that just gets the job done better and doesn't need quite so much farm and isn't quite so vulnerable in lane.

I think the problem right now is that Vayne and Kalista both occupy the same strategic niche, which is a hyper mobile, hyper scaling carry who can shred tanks.

Vayne is certainly better in skirmishes and 1v1 duels and Kalista is certainly better in team fights but I don't know if that's enough of a distinction between them to be picked for different reasons.

What direction do you think they should take Vayne to better highlight her strengths and weaknesses?

a risky take a risky idea as we all know vane's primary strength and her quite obvious strength lies in her single target dmg but with buffing her early,we risk a broken late her power is just so centralised on pure hyper carry single target brute force touching her is like touching an unborn fetus without gloves, not washing your hands basically my description of fragile might you have any ideas?
