My mother is referenced by my family as a "TIGER MOM" google it if youre not familiar with the term. My iq score was 141 when tested in 1st grade, (skipped kg due to making the other children look like idiots, which i will continue upon when i talk about "big word boasting") and 138 when tested at 5th year, never missed a single day of school from grade one-graduation. Scored top 1 percentile in every standardized test taken, ap classes, tutoring children two years older, etc. My intelligence isnt at stake here, but as an intelligent person, i know very well that "big word boasting" is the fastest way to offput someone, and look like an absolute douche.
I don't think you're very bright, regardless of your IQ claim, and I'm right up there with you, champ.
First of all, you're telling me that you lack the imagination to conceive of anything more off-putting than being educated. That would be pretty sad, even for a moron. If you actually do have a high IQ and you still can't come up with anything then maybe you should examine your own reasoning, because that suggests pathology.
Secondly, you're arguing that a person ought to pretend to be something they aren't - directly alter their preferred style of speech - in order to coddle people who might not be able to keep up. That's a pretty foolish position to take for anyone in the self-regarding sense, but it's also pretty damned foolish for the sake of society. Pretending to be ignorant is pathetic and counter-productively self-denigrating. It makes you less of a person. Society also pays a cost because making yourself less than what you are intrinsically carries with it the effect of making yourself worth less to other people than you could otherwise be. The intelligent thing to do when encountering a word outside of your vocabulary is to look it up. It makes you a little bit stronger as a person and doesn't require you to insult someone for the crime of being educated and/or having an appreciation for the English language.
Moreover, I'm grimly amused by your assertion that failing to cowtow to your pathetic sense of logophobia makes a person "look like an absolute douche". In point of fact, I think that trying to shame someone for being good at something would be a damned good example of something quite a lot more douchey. This argument also assumes that I do, or ought to, contort myself in order to cater to other peoples' opinions about me. In case you can't guess by now how I might rate that particular notion, it is a prime example of argumentum ad populum, and I don't hold a very high opinion of the "populum" in the first place. Additionally, very few people I meet face-to-face ever criticize me for having a broad vocabulary, and the ones who have done so were categorically worthless people.

I never asked you to speak in Vietnamese dialect (monosyllabic). I just asked you to stop flexing. I understand that as a smart man, it seems absolute rubbish to have to "stoop yourself down" but on the same note, i dont want to sit next to a bodybuilder who's doing push ups at dinner, just as uneducated/undereducated people dont want to be made to feel stupid.
And here's another example of why I don't think you're too bright: Vietnamese is not monosyllabic. The suggestion alone is preposterous as there simply aren't enough independent syllables to create a large enough vocabulary for even bare colloquial usage.

More importantly, you're committing an obvious fallacy by implying that the category of monosyllabic language somehow specifically means monosyllabic Vietnamese. Even if Vietnamese were monosyllabic, and even if you were to ignore my self-evident use of hyperbole, the idea that referring to monosyllabic use of English (by context) somehow indicates the use of Vietnamese is a textbook non-sequitur. It hints at the fallacy of the excluded middle, but I think you may have actually invented a new fallacy in this case, since you're treating a member of the category as the category itself, which is more like an error of generalization. So congratulations on your work towards advancing the practice of stupidity!
Concerning your ridiculous comparison between my use of own language and a bodybuilder doing push-ups at dinner, please be aware that it requires no effort of me to speak in my preferred manner. If it somehow discomforts you, then please accept this additional sentiment: bite me. I DO NOT complain when I see people who are well built go about their daily lives; quite the opposite. I wouldn't complain if I saw a bodybuilder lifting something heavy at work or lifting their fork at the aforementioned dinner, and I certainly don't feel the need to exert myself beyond lifting a fork in order to condescend to you.
Please let me know if you require any further education in this matter.
