Bring back an MR aura for just Locket

That 15 MR aura was really needed in the early - mid phase because of the AP heavy supports like and we are seeing more and more often. That passive aura was what kept the AP heavy support from chunking 50% of your ADC's health in 1 combo. is a defensive support item. So having the passive would still suit its balance. I get that the passive was removed mostly because of being easily countered / changed. But that item still does grant more "bonus magic damage".

So, why not make Locket reduce 10% of incoming magic damage (the inverse of )? that seems fair.

They explained full well why they removed it.

Because it countered AP too much since it stacked well, was cheep to get, and countered item 3001 specifically. SO what I am asking is to put it on item 3190 not item 3105 and give it the opposite passive. is just as common in games as , if not more. It does not have to stack with multiple purchases. just one "take 10% less magic damage" passive per team.

Hell, even if it was not 10% but the original 15 MR passive. Then at least your late game is still better for the damage dealers, while the early game is better for the damage receivers.

Translation: the late game is worse for support players and their ability to contribute meaningfully to the team fight.

Not necessarily. In late game, the support can provide more meaningful pick opportunities for their other teammates to deal the damage and get the kill. When a game reaches late game, everyone more or less would be at full item builds and level 18. Fights usually would be done in a few seconds rather than stretched out. So, a support who provides the better engagement, disengagement, and CC is often more valuable than just another damage dealer. Mind you that this is not always the case, but it is very common.

So I would not say that this hurts the supports at all. In fact, this would only benefit them since even the old 15 MR passive aura is better than the current lack of any passive aura.
