I really enjoy him, a lot more entertaining to play than the old Maokai. New VO sound effects and abilities make him seem like a VGU rather than a quick class update. Ult is super powerful and satisfying and requires setup, which are my favorite type of ults (Bard Galio Camille etc). Saplings now are super cheese and fun to use. Q is so much more satisfying and W feels a lot better. Also passive is great. Awesome rework riot, probably the best class update one yet!

KoKoboto1 votesI like using his ultimate as well and managing saplings for jungle, I wonder if sapling mechanics will become boring in terms of clearing jungle. I know for a fact outside of jungle saplings will still be interesting.
Its cool to use the ultimate like when your still in brush of a lane and watch the enemy try to avoid it lol, his level 6 ganks are a lot stronger now

Friendly Ram1 votesmeh Q and passive are alot clunkier and i really liked the old ult. don't mind moving all the damage from w onto e but wish they didn't nerf w duration so hard. hope he has some buffs/ powershifts coming next patch.
