Can we remove the CC from Fizz's ult?

Seriously why the hell does a champion with such insane mobility have 2 separate CC's attached to an ult that already has high base dmg + scaling AND increases his other damage by 20%? His insane mobility apparently isnt bad enough, he apparently needs to completely lock down the target of his ult with crippling slow and then a knock up to guarantee they have no chance whatsoever of escaping.

'Oh well its a skillshot' Cool too bad it doesnt take much skill to land when he can just cast it point blank after he gap closes on you which he can do effortlessly.

I thought Riot was all about giving assassins counterplay, meanwhile Fizz is apparently excempt and doesnt have any.
