Fizz kit has similarities to J4, but stronger.

J4 only has 1 mitigation from his w shield, fizz has 2 with his double dorans-shield passive and playful trickster stasis.

J4 has 2 gap closers but one is long cd ult and the other takes 2 spells, Fizz also has 2 but both are short cd non-ults.

J4 does %current health damage that doesnt scale, Fizz does %missing health damage that does scale.

J4 has to trap himself with everyone including possible teammates in his ult for the cc to work, Fizz can ult from a distance to slow and knock up enemies, giving him the choice to follow up or not.

Obviously J4 isnt a bad champion, But it seems like Fizz is too good.

...You are comparing an extremely squishy AP assassin with a tanky AD Bruiser. Their kits have few similarities outside of the extremely basic mechanics you listed.

  • J4's main dash comes with an AoE knockup and much larger range
  • J4's ult makes a circle of terrain, trapping champion in with him which keeps them from being able to reliably escape.
  • J4's passive is not a main skill; it's weaker, but in return he actually has 4 skills.
  • J4 shreds armor.
  • J4's shield also has an AoE slow.

Following what you said however, Vayne is pretty close to Fizz. She has a gapcloser but it's a short cd non ult, she has &max hp damage, and she can E from a distance to knockback and stun enemies, giving her the choice to follow up or not.
