Game 1: A Brand supp who stands 10 feet behind me, offers no lane presence, and lets me get contested for every cs i try to grab. Come teamfight phase hes just frontlining like a tank. Now this kids bad, it is what it is. Move on.

Game 2: My elise doesn't have smite. Despite this, she still manages to be level 2 at 10 minutes. At the 15 minute ff, she was level 3. Despite not having smite, I've never seen such a thing.

Game 3: Games close. About 25 minutes in Lee says 'i gtg' and we never saw him again. Neat.

Game 4: Irelia is raging at our Pantheon who was 1/2/1 and while his ganks left me wondering if I was not playing bots he wasn't feeding and we were even in kills. She is so pissed at being even at 16 minutes she decides to ragequit.

Now I'm down -80lp for shit I had no control over.

Why are people instantly tilted?

Well, when the game snowballs to hell and you've given up even a small lead, you're left with little to no options on what to do. The slightest slip up turns into a situation where you have no agency. When you have no control over the outcome of anything, PEOPLE GET PISSED OFF. Do you know what consistent loss of agency is called? It's a punishment we call prison.

This season has been horrendous. But just the toll it takes on a persons psyche, where someone elses small slip up leaves you no longer in control of what happens is not just bad game design, frustrating, or unfulfilling when youre on the winning side of it.

It's psychologically unhealthy as fuck

And it leaves people in a state of permanent tilt. So every game is toxic.
