Nice Yi buff. I got an idea, too.

It's more of a mini-rework for just his Q, but it would be a great buff for just this meta. You don't even need to change the numbers. It's a utility buff, like you did with his Q.

The Alpha Strike part is the same. But how it works is changed.

  1. Yi can stay in his Alpha state (Invisible & Untargetable) for a total of 1.5 seconds. To utilise item 3147.
  2. Yi's Highlander duration is paused while in Alpha, and he starts Meditating for the duration. Since Red, Tanky Kayn gets to heal after doing it. Yi deserves an opportunity to stay alive as well. It's balanced because the heal won't be that great if he doesn't max W, but it gives him a slight opportunity to not bleed out while in Alpha. Tyler1 will like that.
  3. Once Yi uses his Q on a target, he doesn't damage 3 other targets. Instead, he damages one other target every 0.25 seconds for a total of 6 times, prioritising champions. The same champion can only be damaged twice. Because it would be dumb if he dealt all his damage initially. Only mages are allowed to do that.
  4. Yi can recast his Q whenever he wants to instantly reach his target, trading bonus damage for a faster gap-closer. Each 0.25 second damage proc Yi doesn't use shortens his Q cooldown by 1 second, but staying in Alpha for the entire duration causes his next basic attack to critically strike. Since the full Q duration should be rewarded, and to dissuade the idea people would get to let Alpha stay for 1.49 seconds.

It would help him a lot in a meta that absolutely crushes squishy divers with never-ending torrents of cc.

Let's give him 800% bonus ad on his E, and his passive applies on every hit too. And also give him 964 extra hp from level 1

Hi, fellow Yi enthusiast here just leaving my imput.

First off, I really like the Q being recastable thing, I posted something similar a few days ago and I think a mini rework to allow Yi to choose between a speedy gapcloser or a longer untargetability mechanic would be a very good thing since he currently does not have that option and it would actually increse his skillcap without increasing his direct power.

That being said, I dont fully agree with all of your sugestion and I think some of them would make too powerful in certain cenarios:

  1. Yi can stay in his Alpha state (Invisible & Untargetable) for a total of 1.5 seconds. To utilise Duskblade

For me this is a no no, alpha stryke giving up 1 second untargetability is already a lot, 1.5 would make him to hard to deal with and it's straight up a power buff. I get that you might want to add that so he could proc Duskblade but that would be even more broken, not even zed gets to do that, only stealth champs get to abuse duskblade.

For me another no no, every champ with untargetability is still afected by DoT abilities, Red Kayin is an exception, not a rule, Yi should definitly not gain HP during alpha as it's a clear weakness of his (during alpha you are not lifestealing), remember it's supposed to be a dodge not a moving zonias. I wouldn't mind the highlander extension, but then again, I'm a little bias towards Yi so I can't really judge if it's op or just a harmless QOL buff.

I find this one quite interesting, however since I'm against the 1.5 seconds and the current max duration is about 1 second, that would make alpha stryke hit 4 times making essencialy the same as it is now, with the added effect of working like a fiddle crow meaning that in a 1v2 alpha stryke would hit 2 times both targets instead of once. This linda looks too powerfull, however if the aditional bounces dealt reduced damage or something like that it could be a good buff since it would make people in a 2v1 or even 3v1 have to be more carefull when collapsing on him since they would have to juggle the alpha bounces between them (especially in a 3v1, where the use of stop watch would punish the teamates) without making him stronger in a teamfight at all.

Straight up just scratch the critical stryke, just forget giving yi more damage.

The remaining changes however are seem really good and I definitly think they should be the future of MasterYi. I like the trading of damage for the faster gapcloser, from a skill prespective it gives Yi more control over his options while adding meaningfull tradeoffs, best change imo. The cooldown reduction on per bounce not used seems reasonable, other champs have similar mechanics so I'm not against it.~ I don't know if by "instantly reaching his target" you mean blink to where the bounce animation is hovering over (straight up broken but so thematically fitting) or just the inicial target but I like the ideia either way.

TLDR: Master yi as very delicate champion to buff so you have to take it really slow, any buffs to Master Yi should promote a wider variety of options rather than higher numbers so that he doesn't get stronger (and more hated) in lower elos while being more relevant at higher levels of play. So everything thats adds to his skillcap rather than damage I support them
