What Exactly Can Xayah's Ult Stop

I've been wondering this for a while because it seems like I die to things that I wasn't expecting to die to. Just wanna clear it up so I'm not confused anymore.

I can dodge stuff like Ashe arrow or Annie ult, but I can't stop things like Zed ult if he's already casted it on me?

The other day I was in game and got ulted by a Zed, so right as the mark was about to trigger I ulted and mid ult I died to it. I guess stuff like Vlad ult, Zed ult, maybe Morg ult if they casted it on you beforehand can still trigger and kill you mid ult?

I can die to damage over time stuff like Ignite, but I can't be targeted or hit by projectiles?

I honestly am kinda confused about what exactly can hit me during the ult because it seems like every once in a while there's something that kills me mid ult that I thought I was safe from.

Also, for like a SPLIT SECOND after casting the ult, you aren't actually invulernable or not targetable or whatever it is, which is something I've come to notice.

I've casted it before in fights and right as I casted it, I died and the ult went on cooldown and I apparently for that split second (while I was leaping into the air I guess) I was able to be targeted.

Supposedly there's a similar thing with Vlad's pool where for half a second after casting when he's in the process of melting, he can be targeted. It happened in LCS not that long ago from what I've heard, he tried to pool and got knocked up by a Blitz right as he casted it.

She's untargettable, not invulnerable. If Zed has already applied the death mark you will always take the hit unless you get put into stasis or die before it goes off. Same goes for Vlad's ult and Morgana if you stay within tether range. I believe if you ult before Zed lands to put the mark on you you can avoid it ever being applied though. Basically if the effect is already on you before you use your ult, it will finish the effect.

Xayah ult is functionally a Fizz E - you can dodge things, but you can't avoid damage if it's already on you.

If someone casts a dot on you, the dot will tick away.

You can ult to dodge the Zed ult application, but you can't avoid the damage if it's already on you.

This is the exact same thing with Kayn. He can ult to dodge things, but he can't avoid damage already being applied to him through dots and the like.

Edit 2: I meant Fizz e, rip.

that split second you're referring to is latency. it happens in all online video games.

Also, Blitz knockup is one of the few remaining "older" abilities that once the animation starts, it will always hit
