So how does armor / MR work?
Title. ADCs are typically the worst offenders (not counting Last Whisper and whatnot, just a full AD ADC with not one bit of armor pen on them).
But, say I have a shit ton of armor, and I'm taking 73% reduced phsyical damage as well as a flat 12% reduction from Ninja Tabi (85% together). Yasuo, Cait, Jhin, Kha, or some other AD champ just strolls along and does 500-600 damage to me repeatedly -- or even more.
Now, I'm no mathematician, but if 500-600 damage is 15% (27% in Kha's case) of something... are they hitting for over 3700 a hit before mitigation? I don't think that's realistic, so does the game lie about how armor works, or what's the deal?
I assume it's just
Damage = Raw Damage * Armor % value (So, X * .15 in this case)
Is that wrong?
EDIT: So, after reading that wiki and even going so far as to plug in numbers, yeah, apparently Yasuo and Cait auto for ~3800 an auto. Guess Riot lied about how armor works, or are autos just that absurdly broken?
gives the most amount of "effective health" against anyone that does physical damage
before an item such as
becomes more efficient against physical damage is roughly around 3.5~3.6k health i believe.
in general
is the best all round item against magic damage
is a close second but if your champion has sustain in his kit or with its build it becomes the number 1 item to buy
are all champs that should build it
