Can We Nerf Annie Please

Can we please nerf this stupid no counter-play champion, she has been a top tier pick for far to long and offer little to no counter-play, her abilities all do stupid damage will being easy to use and having extra bonus effects that make them fair to good.

Her Q which is a Point and Click ability has a stupid low cooldown, allowing for free farming and is up almost constantly, while having stupidly high base damages and scaling.

> RANGE: 625 COST: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 MANA COOLDOWN: 4 > ACTIVE: Annie hurls a fireball at a target enemy unit, dealing magic damage on-hit. > MAGIC DAMAGE: 80 / 115 / 150 / 185 / 220 (+ 80% AP) > If Disintegrate kills the target, it refunds its mana cost and its cooldown is halved.

That means you can use it every 2 seconds in order to farm with and it costs you 0 mana if you kill the CS, it then can be used for harass with masisve base damage 80 level 1 with 80% scaling on a 4 second PnC ability is not balanced.

Her W again which has really high damage and stupid scaling, its also bugged and goes through windwall.

> RANGE: 625 COST: 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 MANA COOLDOWN: 8 > ACTIVE: Annie scorches all enemies in a 50° conic area in front of her with fire, dealing magic damage. > MAGIC DAMAGE: 70 / 115 / 160 / 205 / 250 (+ 85% AP)

high base damage and stupidly high scaling, needs reducing.

E is actually ok ish balanced and doesn't need any changes really.

> COST: 20 MANA COOLDOWN: 10 > ACTIVE: Annie grants herself a shield of fire for 5 seconds that grants bonus armor and magic resistance as well as dealing magic damage to enemies each time they attack the shield. > ARMOR & MAGIC RESIST: 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 > MAGIC DAMAGE: 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 (+ 20% AP) > If Tibbers is active when Molten Shield is used he will gain the shield, while also gaining a flat 300 movement speed bonus that decays over 0.75 seconds.

Now the big boy the insta AOE Stun that does stupid damage,

> RANGE: 600 COST: 100 MANA COOLDOWN: 120 / 100 / 80 > **Summon- Tibbers ** > FIRST CAST: Annie summons Tibbers to the target location in a burst of flame, dealing magic damage to enemies within 290-range. Tibbers remains on the field as a controllable minion for up to 45 seconds. > MAGIC DAMAGE: 175 / 300 / 425 (+ 80% AP) > Summon- Tibbers 2 > SECOND CAST: Annie directs Tibbers toward the mouse cursor. > Tibbers deals magical damage with his attacks, and is also surrounded by a flaming aura that deals magic damage every second to enemies within 200-range of himself. > MAGIC DAMAGE PER SECOND: 20 / 30 / 40 (+ 20% AP)

So she has an AOE insta bear that does tons of damage, has high scaling and offer NONE and i mean NO counter-play, you can't windwall it you can't dodge it, you literally get no chance to avoid this monster of an ability, then to add to it she gets to keep tibbers around for 45 seconds, 45 SECONDS!!! that means its around for 1/3, 1/2 and 2/3 of the time of the cooldown for the ability, this is just stupid.

What Should Be Done?

Q No longer re giving mana cost back and resetting the CD. Her Q should be made into a skillshot, with high CD but lower mana cost

W Her W should have the base damages reduced to make it more focused on scaling or make it so she has more emphasis on landing her skillshots.

E Is fine.

R Make it into a skillshot Offer more counter-play TIbbers last for less time 15 maybe 20 secs CD only starts after Tibbers has died

TL;DR

Something really needs to be done about this champion as she has long been a menace in the support role but her mid lane is just disgusting as she has both a masisve early game bully power spike but also stupid ability scaling into late game all her abilities have 80%+ scaling), she offers such little counter-play that you feel like the only way to beat her is to stay over 650 units away at all times, and even when she uses her abilities the CD is so dam low that you get little to no chance to punish her when they have been cast.

Without a doubt that ult needs adjust, Riot like to emphasis "counter-play" well there is none to this, you can't windwall it, you can't dodge it or out move it, the second she presses R she gets a masisve bear that can stun you, while dealing tons of damage, it really needs to be made a skillshot that actually lets you do something against it, and open it up to counter play and play iterations.

no champion should offer so little counter-play thought the whole game while never having a weak point, honestly look at her stats and tell me when her weak point is, she has early, mid and late game while offering little chance to beat or outplay as she just presses Q,W,E,R with only really W taking some (very little) skill to land, all while dealing massive damage and able to stun you.

no one told you to walk in her face when you see swirls around her

boss100001 votes

its not just the swirls is all the god dam time, there is no outplay her she will just spam those abilities and do masisve damage, you can't even windwall or dodge most of them as they go through again reducing counterplay.

Even some of the most BS abilities in the game can be counter played or wind walled, (e.g. veigar R, Zed R, etc)

oh look a champion who has low ranges and is squishy and is heavily punished by being out of position since she is also immobile, oh look she can spam her Q if she kills her target... well it's great to know that she needs to spam the skill constantly to kill a minion wave while there are champions who clear it instantly with only 1 skill without needing to spam it and more often than not at an even higher range. Oh look W which has really crappy range hit you? guess what you need to basically be in her face for that thing to hit what were you doing that close to her? Oh look someone is butthurt because he bought no MR, did not stand behind his team and got caught out of position and got blown up. Learn to position yourself better and to buy a Banshees

LOW RANGES Annie had 625 AA range until recently and all her abilities are still 625 range, that is not low range, you want low range try Rammus E that has 325 range

IMMOBILE She is immobile to balance out her stupidly high damage that is east to use and then ista kill anyyone you want her to be able to dash in to do that aswell?

WAVE CLEAR Her W can instantly clear a wave and her Q offers massive harass that she "CAN" use to freely farm with no cost to her in anyway.

**W RANGE ** Same as above her W range isn't low.

BEING CLOSE TO ANNIE Oh im playing a melee champion guess i should just stay over 650 units away at all time cause if i go any where near her she will insta kill me offering no counter play and using no skill shot or skill to do it, her entire combo is easy and does stupid damage. while the only way to really play against it is, don't go near her, right....

BUTTHURT Again melee champion not playing ADC, there isnt much positioning you can do when its basicly stay out her range or she will insta kill you, I was playing Yasuo for Pete's sake and I couldn't W any of her spells cause they all go through it so guess what? I have a massive ass wind wall in front of me but Tibbers spawns through it anyway, and so does her W and E, the only thing it blocks is her Q which is on a 4 second CD so yeah that is totally down for a long time when allowing me to go in.

This is all while she had, 1 dorans ring, 1 Catalyst the Protector, boots and some health pots, each of her abilities then proceed to do 200-250 damage each (not just the 1 she is maxing, all of them), with her having barely any dam AP.

Rammus is also a melee champion, Annie has short ranges when compared to other ranged champions. Don't compare Apples and Oranges, if you think that 625 range is actually big then i fear to think about the COUNTLESS skills that outrange HER ENTIRE KIT!

She is immobile TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT! do not come talking about how a BURST MAGE has high bases THAT'S ALL SHE HAS! learn to play against her, but nope it's better to just whine and moan because you do not know the meaning of those words.

Annie cannot wave clear with her W unless you allow her to wave clear with it. Her using her W puts her into a dangerous spot that you can exploit if you use your brain for more than spew nonsense since you refuse to adapt your build or the way you play each different matchup.

Her W range IS low, stop pretending it isn't because you suck at the game.

Really? every time? why don't you wait for her to use her stun on a minion? if she isn't that means she is auto attacking the wave s just push the hell out of it and when she does use her stun charge then you go into her face and blow the hell out of her due to how squishy she is.

Yes i can tell you are butthurt because you refuse to position yourself properly, It's your frontline's job to take most of the damage, don't come here complaining because you YOLO'd into the enemy team first and got blown up when you are not the tank. Either flank the enemy or wait until the enemy wastes their CDs on your tanks. Being melee doesn't excuse you from having poor positioning in fights and being blown up.

Sorry but how is she dealing 200-250 damage with each ability when she has those items? that would mean that she is lvl 18, those items on her and she isn't even close to 9 so thanks for proving you are just making shit up, thanks for also proving that you fail to build any mr against her and complain because a BURST MAGE is bursting you down, thanks for proving EVERYONE here all of these things.

TLDR; LEARN TO PLAY THE DAMN GAME AND ITEMIZE FOR YOUR OPPONENT AND STOP EXAGGERATING STUFF BEFORE YOU COME COMPLAIN ABOUT A CHAMPION THAT IS FINE

Windwall blocks projectiles. Annie's W isn't a projectile.

So she has an AOE insta bear that does tons of damage, has high scaling and offer NONE and i mean NO counter-play, you can't windwall it

Tibbers is "summoned" at the targetted location. Again, not a projectile.

no champion should offer so little counter-play thought the whole game while never having a weak point, honestly look at her stats and tell me when her weak point is,

Annie has no mobility and low spell ranges for a mage. Pick a poke champion who outranges her such as Ziggs or Xerath and poke her down while staying out of her range.

If Annie flashes onto you to hit you, then she just used a 4:30 minute cooldown and is vulnerable until it comes back up. Take advantage of that time.

Honestly, you are essentially complaining that Annie is able to beat Yasuo (a squishy mobile melee champion) when Annie is made to excel at locking down and killing squishy mobile melee champions.

Can't see the match history since it was a normal game, but on euw.op.gg, it looks like you went 9/19 against Annie. You didn't build any MR or Tenacity and insisted on sticking to a cookie-cutter Yasuo build. If you were having trouble laning against her, you probably should have picked up Hexdrinker or Mercury Treads early game for the additional durabiliy and Tenacity.

Quite frankly, you got counterpicked (actually, it looks like Annie was picked first, so you counterpicked yourself) and lost the matchup after building poorly. Learn from it so you don't repeat your mistakes.

Counter-picks shouldn't matter if there is skill, I SHOULD be able to block everything or dodge it if im skilled enough it shouldn't simply be, well Annie's abilities aren't projectiles so your screwed, i had it where i put a perfect windwall between me and her, under my tower, she then R, W im dead from full health, that is not balanced there is no counter play, why shouldn't her W be a projectile why should Tibbers spawn instantly and not be blockable.

When even is her weak point cause there is little to no chance to go in on her, as you said maybe when her flash down but thats only if she engage on you, which means nothing if I can't go anywhere near her without, bang im dead, doesn't matter if i W or dodge she just goes straight through it all.

Quite frankly, you died 19 times in that game. If she was able to kill you from full health than:

  • You fed her a lot of gold and she had a huge item and experience lead on you
  • You had no MR or health to withstand her damage

You can play around the matchup if you play and build correctly. When you are in a poor matchup, call your jungler for help (especially when the enemy in immobile). You didn't and instead fed her early, which let her snowball enough to keep killing you.

Annie likely rushed Rod of Ages and Zhonya's Hourglass, which provided a lot of survivability against your damage while you didn't build anything to withstand hers.

Annie doesn't necessarily have a weak-point in the game, however she does have weaknesses; there is a difference. Annie is immobile and has short ability ranged for a mage, so many mid laners can safely poke her down without allowing her to retaliate. Considering you chose Yasuo (a squishy, melee-ranged champion) against Annie, you essentially counterpicked yourself by choosing a champion who couldn't actually take advantage of her weaknesses. In addition, by not building MR or tenacity, she could instantly burst you down and you wouldn't survive long enough to retaliate.

Counter-picks shouldn't matter if there is skill, I SHOULD be able to block everything or dodge it if im skilled enough

That's really not how counter-picks work. Each champion has strengths and weaknesses; for one champion to counter another, they should be able to take advantage of a champion's weaknesses and/or negate their strengths.

Annie is weak to long-ranged poke while she excels at locking down mobile opponents and bursting squishy champions. Yasuo doesn't have any reliable form of ranged poke or enough durability to survive Annie's burst damage.

Yasuo excels at avoiding or blocking skillshots to negate damage and mobility to chase down enemies. He can't dodge any of Annie's abilities and can only block her Q, which means that she can take advantage of his squishiness.

Quite frankly, if you had to lane as Yasuo against Fiora, you'd have similar issues and be crushed just as decisively.

Your TL:DR is still too long. Annie is fine.
