Like im not gonna say a 10% refund is good. But it is better than nothing, which is what MOST people thought we were getting from Riot until they changed that.

I also am not gonna say "Well its a used item yadda yadda"

But honestly, you "Old school league veterans" What did you want out of this? Your "Reward" Is the BE Sale. Not the BE itself, which you dont even need if you have played since Beta.

What did you even want?

And to the people thinking RP would be refunded you are just allout crazy.

Riot needs to treat their old players with more respect. They are the once that made them their fucking money in the first player, not just to those entitled bitches at the LCS. by supporting them at the very start of league.

I just think riot needs to stop changing their game so drastically every freaking year. all the reasons i started playing league in the first place dont even exist anymore. its a brand freaking new game every year. like yeah there can be some much needed big balance changes etc, but i wish theyd just sit down and say "hey maybe we shouldnt turn this into a brand new game every year"

While i agree that Riot seems to like drastically changing the game. This one is quite needed and wanted. A lot of people have complained about the issues that this change is addressing, and the only way to fix them is a big overhaul.

the problem is every "big problem" people bitch about isnt really a big problem, then they overhaul something and make a brand fucking new game.

runes are pretty simple: either make em free, and REFUND 100 PERCENT OF THE BOUGHT RUNES TO ALL PLAYERS. or increase ways to gain ip. (quests would be a good one)

Yes to all of those.. If your choices are a dollar an hour or 0 dollars an hour, you're going to take the dollar.

If your choices are 0 meals, or 1 meal a week, you're going to take the 1 meal.

Yeah, but either way it's shitty. A dollar an hour is better than zero, but it's still slave waging. Arguing to pay someone a dollar an hour "because it's better than nothing" is just an awful argument. Again, I'm not disagreeing with your op, just that phrase.

There is a big difference between that and this.

Better than nothing is okay to be used when you are either expecting, or [should] get nothing. (Should meaning yeah you spent time but League is a game you play for fun, Riot has 0 obligation to reward people for just playing for a long time other than to make some veteran players happy, unlike a job)

I agree better than nothing is a bad argument. But when you EXPECT nothing, it is okay to use it.

League children are all entitled little pricks that didn't enough hugs growing up. So yeah, they thought they'd get a refund for every single rune.

I've played the game for 4 1/2 years now, honestly I'm glad we get anything at all.

I didn't expect a ton, but not this peasant pittance we are getting back. My quints cost 6300 ip in the old days.... before the cost reduction, before the increase in ip gains.

60+ games for 1 item that was needed to stay on a level playing field or risk being out played at level 1...

I'd want a huge amount of BE/IP back so I can actually afford their reward shop because spending over 100k of IP is going to not get me anywhere near 150k BE/IP.

100 BE for normal runes and 300 BE for Quint runes is too little in my opinion, specially because I bought lots of runes when they were expensive as hell (4x more expensive than in this season). That reward is almost nothing to me.

So what? At first, riot announced a ''40% refund'' but after ''listening to our feedback'' they decided to reduce the refund to around 15% (even less to those who bought they when they were more expensive like me). Riot is ripping off older players, I'm not saying that new players don't deserve the 100% refund, but older ones deserve more.

They should have come up with something else than IP refunds, since you can directly relate the amount refunded to the amount paid. 10% for investing in runes, lol.

on the one hand i don't really care. on the other i can see where the complaint is coming from. Grinding for IP to get runes isn't easy. It take a freaking long time to get a good rune page to really perform in ranked because not having good runes for the right situation is a real disadvantage. I played season 3 and still haven't gotten all the champ. I got like about 25 left to buy still and that's with not having all the runes/runes pages.
