Am I the only one that feels Kleptomancy makes no sense?

I don't use the keystone, but from what I've seen on youtube videos, most champs earn about 300-800 gold from this Keystone per game. IMO even with the random items you gain, thats just not worth the damage you miss out on from other runes. Not too mention the dedication it takes to proc. Unless you are Ez, you are getting within 500-600 range of an enemy just to earn 5-10 gold each time.

I might be wrong and unware of all the factors, but from my current stand point, this rune is not worth it, even on Ez.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

As a support, Kleptomancy can come in very handy if you're running or want to run items that are more expensive than the standard 2,100-2,300 gold that 'Support' items will get you.

Doubly so if you're running into problems with sustain, grabbing and holding on to potions, mana potions, and biscuits if you take Biscuit Delivery can be immensely helpful. I used to run it on Sona quite a bit for that reason.

But then I discovered that I'm an aggressive asshole who prefers Dark Harvest.

I don't know if it's good enough, but it's cute to make the opponents run away from my champion because they don't want to give away gold and some extra biscuits could be helpful for mana hungry champions. I'll have to try it more often and see if it still picks me up wins.

There are also some 'combat' items which grant things like AD/AP or adaptive force which last for a short amount of time.

The gold/damage trade off means you get items sooner, allowing for more power through items sooner, but less power through runes. The alternative is later power through items, but more power from runes. So it's great on some champs that needs a lot of gold. Additionally, it also gives items in lane, which if you ever get the elixr of sorcery you'll surely understand why it can be a useful rune

It is pretty nice on Taric since he is built around autoing twice between each spell cast and spamming a lot of spells. So long as he gets to proc it consistently he is probably the best user of the keystone and definitely gets a ton of gold from it.

is not cuz the gold you gain is huge is cuz the gold lead you have over your opponent will help you beat him imagine you have a draw in bot lane but with klepo you always ahead from the extra gold
