(PLEASE DISABLE NEW CHAMPIONS FROM RANKED FOR A WEEK) Every champion release we have the same issues

In solo que players show not be able to play things they are inexperienced with(Remember why free week was removed from solo que?).

New champion releases or re-releases should be dsiabled from solo que for the first week.

You don't seem to factor PBE into the matter. I've seen countless players actually do well with newly-released champions because of this.

There is no actual way to factor in how much experience a player has with ANY champion until the match starts, so removing new champs from ranked for a period is just needless and dumb.

Which' actually another reason this' a good idea.

Players who have PBE access have a HUGE advantage in fighting as or against new champions.

Disabled the newest Champion from Ranked for 1 week's time is a great idea.

Get unlucky enough to have someone who doesn't know what they are doing on your team? It's only noticeable because they use the new champ, if they are willing to use a champion without practicing they likely would have fed anyway.

So how about we don't punish the people who know what they are doing just because of the actions of people who are likely bad to begin with.

I'd say just make it so you have to play 5 normal games minimum with a specific champ to be able to play that champ in ranked. Just because they waited a week doesn't mean they actually learned how the champ in question works.

It's really not that hard to pick up a kit once you get a basic feel for it, so I feel like 5 games is a little bit overkill, but that might just be me so I don't know.

The first time I played Rek'sai I didn't realize that the bonus fury on her passive only triggered if you burrowed and then surfaced again within 5 seconds to trigger it, so I was finding it hard to clear with her because I was missing out on a ton of healing due to that. Things like this make a HUGE difference, and could be caught very easily in 5 games I'd say, or at least I like to hope that if people were dying every single time they tried to first clear that they wouldn't bring that champ into ranked, but who knows.

The only problem with this change whe basicly are forced to remove the ip increasement. Normal games will just become fights over who will play the new champion. The increased ip was one of the reason whe didn't had that fight every game.

I like to think that the games are still fair despite a new champion being broken. Consider also the fact that blue side has (has?) a higher winrate than red/purple side. However, if you take into account that you get placed on each side and equal amount of times (on average), then you should be still winning around 50% of your games.

As a player that picks up champions disgustingly quickly I would mostly be irritated that I cannot play the new champion in ranked.

All this limitation would do would delay the people who ONLY play ranked from seeing the new champion for a week and then they STILL would have to learn them unless all the other players are required to play normals with the champion.

It's just an arbitrary limitation that serves no one except people who like to blame the new champion for failure, as they make better targets than their own tactical and strategic skill level.

If pros get 3 weeks to learn a champion, ranked players should also have a cooldown before being able to pick it. One week sounds about right.

Lol, I played Rek'Sai in ranked 2 days after she came out and went 22/4/13. There are some players that don't pick up new champions as quickly as others, or some who simply do not have as much time to try out new champs, but this shouldn't have to also hinder the people who want to play the new champs in ranked. (Notice not "try" but "play". I personally had quite a few games in different modes on Rek before I played her in solo queue.)

Besides, it's only one champion. It shouldn't hurt your own pool at all, and if you REALLY don't want anyone playing her, just ban her out or ask the first pick to do so.

I'd say the first month to be honest. And things should be in place to prevent you from playing champions you have less than 20 normal games on.
