Annie's Ultimate Should Have a Small Delay

Gunpoint··16 votes·2,222 views

Something short so you can at least respond before getting instantly half hit and stunned. Like a 0.5 second delay or something which has the animation of Annie throwing Tibbers, as seen in the first League of Legends cinematic. Give her a compensation buff to go with it like 30% scaling on the Tibbers AOE rather than 20%. Also, would it be so hard to make it so when Tibbers is summoned, he's not just sitting right in Annie's hand?

Edit: She can still set it up by stunning with her W and THEN using tibbers if the enemies are exceptionally mobile.

NO, IF YOU GROUP AND CLUSTER THAT CLOSE TO ANNIE YOU DESERVE TO GET AOE STUNNED IN THE FACE, USE YOUR BRAIN FOR ONCE, SICK OF CHAMPIONS GETTING NERFED BECAUSE "COUNTERPLAY" ONLY APPLIES TO DODGING

this 1000 times , people only wants stupid flashy plays nowadays -_-

counterplay is not mobility but being smart .

Remember when people said, "Oh, I was out of position as a squishy, I deserved to get melted,"? I sure do. Now it's all, "If I can't dodge it in some way, shape or form, it's OP as shit and needs to go." This is what's ruining League.

After doing it to Veigar, I see no reason why they shouldn't to Annie lol. I would also like if they gave her higher scalings and less base damage. That way she can't 100-0 bot lane ADC before they can do anything.

I rather have the more base damage since if she plays support she has amazing poke...I'm new to league...uhh so thats just what I think

Nucleophilic atk1 votes

That is the problem. She has way too much damage from the support role. Her ult stun is just stupid strong.

All Annie players would do then is E+W+R+Q combo instead. The range on her W is close to her R, and its an instant AoE spell. After the Tibbers nerf, you'd be right back here crying asking for a W nerf then.

why not just fuck any buffs and make a delay? you know, for counterplay!Veigar

And make her Q a skill shot, but give it a small explosion.

Then reduce her ults AP scaling by 10%.

Make q a skill shot, put a .75 second delay on her stun, and reduce her ult ap ratio by .2 Don't worry though, her q will be able to hit two units so it's a buff (even though she lost dfg)

rofl perfect. 10/10

Seriously though, it has 600 range. Anything without long range doesn't need a delay. Should Amumu's and Galio's ults have a delay? No, of course not. (And yes, they can press their flash button before pressing R too)

waiting for someone to say that tibbers should become a skillshot throw.... instead of a summon. but yes, counterplay is good

This would only be acceptable if they also made her ult ALWAYS stun, and reduce her spells needed to stun to 3.

lol fuck no. i dont want to get stunned 2 times by annie.

You would only get stunned the one time. because her ult would always miss.

This is a really good idea. +1

I think it'd be neat if they changed it to look similar to cinematic-Annie.

She would launch tibbers (oh look it's /actually/ a skillshot now, it's not atm), giving people a small window to flash/blink. I like how the E gives tibbers movement speed, but I feel that they could change tibbers entirely so he'd actually need to be micro'd rather than be a walking Sunfire Cape.

I kind of agree that something should be done about Annie.

Her passive just pushes her straight to support and she's not fun to play against in solo queue, especially if she's mid.

Tibbers is a flaming bear. Unless the delay is outright horrible, this would only prevent the inevitable.

When I saw the post I almost freaked because from what I read and feel annie balanced but that's not a bad idea. She could throw it like a malki seedling and then tibbers burst out.

Drukyul1 votes

Could add range to it to compensate, like they did when they added a delay to Corki's Q.

Direwolfiez2 votes

Except that's a spammable skill that has a CD of 8 seconds. You're talking about a champ's ult, which is supposed to be their most powerful ability, and because of that has a much longer CD.

Range compensating for delay really doesn't have anything to do with cooldown.

Direwolfiez1 votes

You don't seem to get that adding a delay to her ult would make it much harder to land, and that adding a small range buff wouldn't really help. Why does everything need a delay so mobile champs can dash out of it? This whole idea that movement abilities = counterplay is bullshit.

Drukyul1 votes

You're assuming the delay is a significant nerf and the range buff isn't a significant buff. Those both depend more on the numbers than the concepts. A 0.1 sec delay would be meaningless, a 0.5 sec delay wouldn't really hurt much at all, and a 1 sec delay wouldn't be too bad. A significant enough range buff could put Annie in positions where she doesn't even need to burn flash to drop Tibbers on enemies. That would be reasonable compensation.
