Played XZ mid against him just now. Were even in farm and he backs and gets lost chapter (and he has doran ring starter item).
I have merc treads and the fucker Q + R me for about 95% of my health. The only option is to flash out of it or die. That burst and range is fucking stupid and part of all the stupidity that this riot game development monkey team headed by mila kunis does.

I appreciate your forthcomingness, but you can't use that to determine anything worthwhile about the game except maybe that Xin does not belong mid.

if you take away his burst and range then what does he have

Honestly it’s not even his range and burst that is an issue. His true damage is a problem but that is just because too many champions have it right now. The real issue is he has no real cooldowns.

I would say rather play against a velkoz than a xerath. At least velkoz q is blocked by minions. Playing against xerath feels like im on a firing range for all laning phase. Havent played against a xerath mid for months because i permaban
I'm a velkoz main so I can't stay away from this. Xin has level 1-3 to put the hurt on vel and in most cases after that he's done. Your range is too short and your engage isn't enough to handle what comes from the true damage passive. which requires you to be hit 3 times before the ult goes. If you have the stacks back off until they go away. If youre less than 500 health with no flash then its time back. However, playing smart your ult can save you from vel ult. So that said I've had some really skilled xins mess me up enough over and over to force me out of lane and they get slightly ahead as a result. Over all xin doens't go against velkoz and if you're doing a pick like that you should pick xin after youre certain who is mid lane.
the only thing that bothers me about velkoz is the massive slow on his r.
im playing a slow champion. fuck me for not picking a hypermobile assassin i guess. just gonna take the whole 3k damage because i cant get out of it without flash.
