no adc in this bloody game builds essence reaver you ruined the item you ruined the playstyle that some champions had with this item, Ashe feels so fucking awful to play now because you can't have more utility without sacrificing a huge amount of damage. She needs crit to slow, she can't have cdr from shitty items like black cleaver to make her unable to kite champions that have 20 more ms than her.

you ruined the item, nobody builds it how is it hard to understand? you can question any adc above d2 or d1 they will all answer the same revert it, your trash idea was terrible

I think Riot would be more inclined to listen to your criticism if you instead tried to “drive constructive feedback,” rather than get unreasonably upset. It’s point two of the original Summoner’s Code:

“Player feedback is an important force in the decision making process of Riot Games. If you want to make your voice heard, taking the time to let us know how you're feeling about the game is a good place to start. When you give feedback, make sure you take a holistic approach. If you only give negative feedback, you may find that the changes you influence detract from what you initially enjoyed. Moreover, people are simply more likely to listen if you present yourself in a calm, well thought out manner.

That being said, don't be afraid to tell us if you feel strongly, and why. Try to be straightforward, specific, and always try to make your feedback direct and concise. For instance, saying something along the lines of:

I did twice already it didn't do anything patches after patches and gameplay posts after gameplay posts from meddler, Essence reaver is not mentioned

Riot just wanted to gut the item and move on, they don't really care anymore.

Remember that Riot is constantly working on making changes. Just because they haven’t gotten to changing Essence Reaver does not mean they are ignoring player feedback, or, in your words, have stopped caring. Patience is really important here.

Also, many employees of Riot are gamers. Your opinion may not coincide with theirs or with other players. If they believe Essence Reaver is broken (in a bad way), they will fix it. If enough players exhibit a distaste for the current Essence Reaver, they will fix it. If they have truly stopped caring about the item, they’d remove it. Trust in the process.

Sorry you’re frustrated, but do remember Riot employees truly are dedicated to creating a community game. League of Legends is for us — they didn’t have to do that, but they did. Do not take that for granted.

They might not be ignoring player feedback, but they've certainly changed their gameplay design philosophies over recent years; particularly their obsessive priority of their precious 'pro' games over common gaming, just glance through their commentary in the patch notes.

Regarding the essence reaver though, I'd say it should be reverted back to it's initial implementation, instead of this in-between; so it's mana-restore is more beneficial to mana gated champions than manaless ones, without catering to marksmen like it's reworked form.

For Ashe the relevant one is the crit version.

If offered more ability usage, mana sustain and still some early crit.

Which amounted to utility, poke and some damage for a good price without being outright OP-

Nothing like say kai sa with stormrazor or MF with lethality rush to take like 50% of your health for each good Q bounce.

How so?

I cant really think off any reason as to why reverting it would cause any kind of issue.

It´s former main users, Ashe, xay and lucian havent really gotten any buffs despite losing a key item.

Its current ones have actually gotten nerfed for using it.

All it would take it just reverting it and the nerfs to the others like Tryndamere and it would be done.

think of it like this, with the current way that infinity edge works, all you would need to get 100%crit AND about 270 ad if u just bought item 3031 item 3087 item 3508 (at lvl 18). The way riot got their "adc system" atm makes it so you HAVE to buy two atackspeed items before you get 100% crit. IF they reverted it, any adc could build item 3031 item 3087 item 3508 to get insane amounts of dps early on and when they dont have to build another atackspeed item like item 3046 they could just trade that out for other stuff like item 3153 item 3095 which adds EVEN more dmg. what im trying to say is that an adc would only have to build 3 items to get a TON of ad, 100% crit and a bit of atackspeed. However, you can allready do this but adc would be way better when they got their 3 items. IF they were to revert it, an adc with 270 ad, 100% crit and like 1,50 atackspeed could be accoplished with item 3031 item 3087 item 3508 and berserker boots Instead of what it would be now: 195 ad 100% crit and 1,70 atackspeed. BUT WAIT, THERE IS MORE:)

How about an adc like jhin... 534 ad 100% crit sounds very fun with only these item 3031 item 3087 item 3508 ?

they would have to change ALOT to balance things out and if they do that, in the end everything will turn back to season 7 where tanks are op again

overall adcs would be way stronger, everyone would go essence reaver over phantomdancer or a different atackspeed item. Then just build something like stormrazer or botrk instead:) hope this was understandable and thank u for your time:)

Except there is two massive points you are just happily ignoring though?

Even under the peak of ER only 4 marksmen really bought the item, Ashe, Sivir, Xayah and Lucian.

Jhin and Mf did it sometimes but usually got other stuff.

The reason for this?

ER was expensive, it cost 3,4 k gold which is a full 700 over say phantom dancer, it ensured that only those who got real and big benefits would grab it.

And what´s the problem with this? olditem 3508 item 3087 item 3031 might offer more stats overall compared to say item 3095 item 3087 item 3031 but it also costs more which means the marksmen delay their powerspikes or lose something else, and stormrazor has proven to actually work as a defensive item due to the movespeed buff.

Like getting sustain, defensive items and armor pen later.

And Jhin at max lvl with item 3006 item 3095 item 3094 item 3031 ends up with about 535 AD.......every auto with a short pause crits because stormrazor at any rate and he gets massive movespeed boosts.

You know whats funny with this build? It costs 600 gold less than the one you suggested if we use the same boots......

And to be honest i dont like Stormrazor, i do not believe frontloaded burst is a good thing on marksmen which is why i equally dislike static shiv but it seems its here to stay.

And to add on this, if ER was reverted it would promote item diversity, people would have the choice of a stronger mid/lategame with ER or a quicker and cheaper power spike with items like botrk/stormrazor first.

Instead of everyone and their dogs rushing stormrazor except a few who can only make do with item 3153 even their current match makes that a awful choice......i mean seriously, why do i have to rush botrk on Ashe just to survive lane against a team without any tanks?

I end up crippling my own midgame for nothing.....feels not so great man.

well, i see your side of this, just kind of scared of the dps adcs can put out in the lategame w full builds. with the revert their dmg WILL go upp but still, some adc realy need this to happen or else they continue to be pritty useless. I just cant realy see a way that they can balance everything out.

The rise in DPS is pretty small though, and its less frontburst like say item 3031 item 3087 item 3094, which i will keep claiming is a unhealthy combo on marksmen.

Fights are so short that 10-20 AD here or there wont matter much, and many marksmen dont actually use abilities that much, and by lategame pretty much everyone has 100% crit at any rate......except Ashe and the onhit marksmen.

Its kinda ridiculous how the current meta makes it unviable for Ashe to get 100% crit, instead the generally recommended build is item 3006 item 3153 item 3085 item 3031 item 3036 and item 3139 item 3026 optional at any point post hurricane.

And this is on Ashe! Half the idea on her is stacked around fueling crit into her passive to empower her autos.

But back on which ones would benefit from a revert DPS wise even lategamel are just Sivir, Xayah and possibly lucian.....the others tend to use autos more.

Just like how they reworked item 3030 from being an AurelionSol item, to being an item that no one buys. It's kind of sad how Lucian the "best" champion with it still rarely ever gets it.

Judging an item's viability by a glance from probuilds? Seriously? It took me about 5 minutes to find 3 sources that speak a drastically different story.

For every 3 Lucian players that build RFC there are 2 that build Essence Reaver instead, and the items both have comparably high win rates. This is true for all ELOs, including Diamond+. Damn it's crazy how a viable option and fun way to play the game is looked down upon Tryndamere item 3508 less people complained about my trynd because he did less dmg in compensation for less dmg, people notice the dmg not the mobility ;(
