good for ashe! fuck lux. hate that bitch!
Agreed, but I hate hexdrinker more.
Here's another where Hexdrinker is denying me an assist despite my spells hitting and the champion dying.
so you're telling me that an MR item made an ADC able to survive to a mage?
nerf.
If you're telling me that you think a 1300 gold item should let you survive a 5 item burst mage's full combo, I don't know what to tell you. It's not like this was a banshees or even a maw, it was a hexdrinker. Half a full item.
Yes? what the point of building MR if it wasn't the case? the player was just clever to build hexdrinker against lux instead of going full crit/AD/attack speed build.
and you got outplayed because you didn't build magic pene in late game against a target that built 35 magic resistance which isn't nothing combined to runes and base magic resistance, 100 mr= damage divided by 2.
the player was just clever to build hexdrinker against lux instead of going full crit/AD/attack speed build.

It was clearly such a grand detour out of her way.
No MR until the 33 minute mark, gets the hexdrinker at the 35 minute mark. Bloodthirster at 37:42, the fights at 38:55.
1,300g item vs 13,900g 5 items Name one other item in the game that can counteract so much with such a small price tag?

So, an item has a unique function?
nerf
A unique function is it giving you a shield automatically. No one's complaining about that.
A problem is when that shield does too much.
my bad, let mages one shot you from 1500 range even if you built mr to prevent it, i mean what could possibly be the function of this item if it didn't saved you from being killed?.
Get a
and fine. You spent the gold, you bought a counter item, you countered the mage, you live (and, in the right situation, the mage dies). But spend the money for it, don't just give out a passive that's worthy of a finished item on a component piece.
I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing the issue with this.
there is a major difference between maw and hexdrinker, maw makes you able to survive to a mage with void staff, hexdrinker makes you able to survive to a mage without void staff, it's the same thing with ANY assassins, if they don't build any armor pene,
alone makes you able to survive to them, should we nerf it too?

Shifting the goal post? Lux had Magic Pen,
+ Runes, she just didn't have % Magic Pen.
I'd very much like to see a video clip of a 5 item assassin with a single flat armor pen item fail to 100-0 someone with their full combo and their target only having
though.

that lux had a dcap with more than 500 ap though and had a level on that ashe. the ashe had nothing more than a hexdrinker to defend herself. its a bit silly that this alone is enough to survive a full chain of a burst mage to the face. including a ludens proc.
maybe they should make the hexdrinker shield scale with mr, like maw does.

Not really. All you have to do is land one skillshot to unload the full burst (well, not the FULL burst, without auto attacking Lux is wasting 2 passive applications) and Lux's range means she's at almost no risk every time she fires off the Q. Dealing 90% of the target's damage at that range is already incredibly valuable.
What the hell?
Better buff void staff.
Oh wait.
Bruh, she's got 35 MR from item. I've got 23 flat pen from items and runes.
Void staff is for killing tanks, not for killing ADC's that buy half an MR item.
She also has 30 base MR. And maybe scaling MR runes. Plus the shield absorbs roughly around 250 magic damage
That Ashe probably has 90 MR with scaling runes.
Also, no, void is not for killing tanks. It's 35% magic penetration, not bonus magic penetration. It's equivalent to Sorcerer's Shoes and Liandrys if the target has measly 40 MR.
Meh, throw in a single auto and she's more than dead. It was a close call, but you're trying to 100-0 her without any help; even on the squishiest member of the team, it's still sort of a tall order, and you knocked her down to like <100 health.
Another thing is they nerfed Zhonyas while making it cheaper. So Zhonyas isn't quite the item it once was, in terms of burstiness; now it has less AP than Void Staff.
you didn't have void staff and only had pen boots, and you're surprised someone survived? Janna also had a locket, you should have gotten a void staff JUST for that.
yes, it's sorta annoying that void staff is so ridiculously required by champions like lux, but it's a thing that IS required, you simply just didn't have it.
even then, she NEARLY died, replace any of your items with void and she does.
look mate, I don't like hexdrinker that much either, but you didn't have a set-up for dealing with magic resist, she had magic resist. Working as intended.
Funny thing is build would have been cheaper XD
she would have died if you'd chosen damage over safety on an artillery mage
git rek'd lux
and a lee sin shield. ANd lux didn't AA
If you'll actually watch the video, you'll see that Lee Sin doesn't shield Ashe until about a second after all the damage goes off.
So many ADC mains in this thread.
You didn't proc your last passive =P
