Spell binder failed as an item and only Eve build it.

I’ve never seen a new item introduced by riot fall outof meta so quicky. The item was suppose to bring mages into bot lane as a starting item, but that quickly failed with the mana changes to mages. You can’t build it as a starting item bot because mages need mana just to function against 1 champ mid, much less 2 in bot.

This is partly where the item is counter intuative. Bot lane is the most ideal lane to charge the item, but again, without mana, its kimda hard to build it first. Not only that, but the item take forever to charge for just a 4 second acrive. Only ap assasins can make effective use of this.

Riot even buffed the item from 100 ap to 120 ap and that still didn’t help. Most mages love pure stats and as much ap as they can get, but they rarely build this item.

This goes to show there is something fundamentally wrong with this item because potentially 200 ap from one item is a lot. Yet no one is rushing it?

I think riot needs to look at the design of this item to figure out whats not working and fix it.
