In what fucking world is Yi weak? When he OUT BURSTS A FUCKING 16/3 KAYN IN BLUE FORM... there's an issue.

He bursts harder than assassins, sustains better than fucking Warwick, cannot be kited, has fucking invincibility frames, has a 60% DR for no fucking reason, does true damage, stacks ATTACK SPEED but still one shots, has no counterplay... can we nerf him yet?

... oh wait, no, we're goinna pretend he's weak and buff him more and more since he makes money with that legendary skin and streamers. Silly me.

Master Yi has a win rate 48.74% for Platinum+ players whilst the very best Master Yi's are earning a win rate of 58.19% with the average rank of these top players being in Diamond IV.

LoLalytics ranks Master Yi at 106 amongst all champions earning a tier grade of Silver.

so if as of patch 7.17 he has a win rate below 49% for plat and higher elos how is he broken ?

he is what they called "king of bad" meaning vs bad players and uncoordinated players he does well ... in higher elos where there are "good " "coordinated" players he sucks

i guess youre just a baddie like majority of this game

[Refreshed the page as I was finishing this and saw another response with similar points, but I'll post this anyways.]

As far as I know he's considered weak in high ELO, and stomps in low ELO because people don't know how to deal with him as a team (including selecting champions that counter, as in, have hard CC and sufficient damage to kill him while he's CCd; Lulu polymorph is probably among the best). He's never (or is he?) picked in pro matches because afaik he becomes useless with decent teamwork and team composition.

If he can't get a kill to reset his Ult timer, he's not able to do much after that. So if someone doesn't get caught out, and if the team does not fail to peel for their ADC, Yi should become irrelevant. Anything can happen in Solo Queue though, due to a frequent lack of (among other things) team coordination, especially in lower ELOs. That's about all that needs to be said.

Master Yi is weak because when you learn his attack patterns and how to counter them, he becomes weak because he cannot dive onto a team and expect to pick up kills unless you're super disorganized and throw out all your CC far too early.

You can say that about almost anyone. "Just learn their pattern". It doesn't speak to the power level of the char at all.

I can prove he's not broken based on damage charts. For all his dashing and attack speed he does almost no damage compared to other teammates. He doesn't lane well, so his primary is jungle, where he is easily shut down by invades and counterjungling. His kit is definitely powerful, but he's a very high risk champion with decent reward.

His Q is definitely the biggest one-button wondertrash I've seen yet. IDK who these people are that says he does low damage, but how much do you really need? Dead is dead. Maybe he can't drop a full tank, but what can?
