Riot doesn't know how a Prank works

Ok sure but why··2 votes·264 views

A prank is designed to make people thing something is bad, before making them feel silly for worrying over nothing.

Last year on April Fools, they decided to remove URF month. We thought, "Very funny, now give it back!" But they never did. A prank implies everything is gonna be okay after, but it never got better. There legitimately was something to worry about.

This year, they tell us they're gonna fix the shitty bot AI as a prank. That's not a prank, either. That's just raising our hopes up for yet another disappointment.

Disappointing us isn't funny. Stop it.

I don't think they ever said anything about "fixing bot AI" - they just said "we're going to be testing new advanced bots in Normals" - which was a prank, because they didn't actually change anything about Normals barring the temporary removal of /all chat and seeing enemy Champions as "x Bot" instead of their actual summoner names.

If you see something like "advanced bot testing in Normals" posted on April 1st, and you believe it, then you're the only one setting yourself up for disappointment. So, if you're disappointed; congratulations, Riot got you.

As for URF, didn't they have to do some work on it to try and make it less of "x champion every game"? I know they had to do that at some point, I just can't recall how far back it was. And if you're saying "it never got better" because the result of that work was AR/URF, then I guess it sucks to have your mentality.
