0 ms(ping) on custom games?
I have seen a lot of games that when you play against bots (Alone, not with a friend) you have 0 ping, why cant we have that on lol too?

The 0 MS ping is because you do not share the game with other players. There is no immediate data transfer between you, the server and other people.
Yep but why not make 0 ping when playing custom game, solo?
This is what im trying to tell...0 ping when you are solo on your custom game
I know and I wanted to ask him why not, I think it is a good idea, sometimes I want to practice or test something but I'm only getting mad bcs I got 3 times in a row disconnected and I couldn't test or when I wanted to attack I got lag and my champ went under turret and I left this game :) I tried making 3 custom games and always same thing. It would be good on practice mode riot will add.
Ugh,I didnt say that you will be playing with other REAL LIFE PEOPLE SO THAT THERE WILL BE DATA TRANSFER,what i said was, Why do i have my normal ping (60) when i am playing ALONE on **MY CUSTOM GAME ** with BOTS for enemies, **NOT REAL PEOPLE **
Your computer doesn't have the information required to run a full game of League of Legends on its own. The calculations for what spells hit, minion movement, tower targeting, and more are all on the League Servers. Your computer knows how to draw the cosmetic stuff, and that's about it.
Other games design Single Player first, them build Multiplayer. League has only built Multiplayer. There's not enough incentive for Riot to make your local copy of the game able to run a game without talking to their server. Your best hope for this to ever become a thing would be if Riot made an offline Single Player with story or added support for local LAN games, then they might tack it on for Solo custom games.
Serious? When you play alone it's probably just local and doesn't have to do shit with any other servers. You can't do that when you want to interact with other people and you have to use a server in some other location.
I didnt say with other people,i said a custom game where you are alone against some bots,im pretty sure they can make it so that you are the host of the match.and therefore you have 0 ping
That would require your computer to host and run the game. Since that will never happen due to the design of their system, it's not something you should worry about.
I still have hopes because theyre making the new client...and like they said its going to be a lot easier for them to add/edit things etc. This is what allowed them to make the practise tool too,its easier,so i really hope that they can change the way custom games work too!
That's why it is called a "client". It connects to "their" host servers. It prevents people from having access to their coding directly, on top of many other things. To host even a bot game with yourself, they would have to give you the coding for the entire game and their bot programs that are otherwise deemed illegal for you to have anyway.
That aside, even the most magnificent computers would immediately have FPS issues trying to host a game on its own. That would force your computer to track and log every champion, every minion, every particle of graphical animation, every mathematical equation, bloody everything that happens in a game whether you see it or not. It's simply not tenable for almost anyone to carry that kind of weight with a common household computer.
But riot can do everything they want with game? And I think it's possible to make offline game.
They could, but they aren't going to. If your ping is under 100, you don't have anything to complain about anyway. You should be thankful that their servers are strong enough to host as well as they do. If you were raised during the dial up era, you might be able to appreciate it more.
I can safely say that they have no interest in distributing their coding, which is why they run from host servers to begin with.
That's why this thread is made for. It's just a concept. My ping is jumping from 50 to 1500, but when it's high, it won't decrease fast. I can have it for several hours. I'm thankful to their server they are pretty good actually, but I am playing on EUNE and there are other servers. Some months ago, I had lags like on 2000 ping although I had only about 70. Actually fixed, but other month it was lossing packets hard and everyone was complaining about lags.
It's possible, yes, it just requires your computer to run the server as well as the client. It's a pretty safe bet that the League Server wasn't designed to run on just anyone's computer though, so they'd have to make a lot of changes to it so it could work on your computer. Then you'd have the people with toasters complaining they couldn't use the feature, so it would need to be optimized for them. Before you get anywhere you've got to ask yourself if distributing stripped down versions of your server is a good idea from a game integrity standpoint, add there'd no doubt be people poking it to see if they can find vulnerabilities in the multiplayer server. You've also got to decide what priority level this is, as it would be competing with improving Custom Matches, Sandbox Mode, Replays, and other potential features such as a story mode.
Just because you can do something in programming does not mean you should do it.
I never thought of that,i had in my mind the game Crossfire (first person f2p shooter) and you could just make a game with bots and have 0 ping, but the bots where only 9, no minions and things that lol has
do you even know what MS is? or what it stands for?
Yes,i do know
Yes,i do know
if you do know then you should know why it's not possible to have 0 MS when playing with other players across the internet
He said that it would be OFFLINE game, not with players, but bots.
I said it so many times dude...not with other players..but bots....alone..
