Phase Rush vs Fleet Footwork
So uh, hey - High plat support main here, wanted to share some thoughts about Fleet Footwork.
I've been using it in my recent games as support with devastating effect, and its illustrating to me just how bad Phase Rush is in a direct comparison.
The build is: FF -> Presence -> Tenacity -> Cut down 2ndary runes vary depending on what I'm going up against, but it just makes trading a lot safer since you know you're getting a solid movement speed buff every single time you go in for an auto. If you are looking for something different to try in the support role, HIGHLY recommend it.
But the big takeaway for me is it illustrates just how much better it is than Phase Rush as a Keystone.
- Fleet Footwork is super dependable and arguably one of the easiest runes to charge up and activate in the game. Since your not CSing, this means that you will activate it virtually every time you go in for an auto-attack. Phase Rush is like the polar opposite, you need to land a full champion kit-combo to even get an activation - why?
- Fleet Footwork has a sustain and healing aspect to it that is surprisingly effective. If you have no good trading opportunities, blowing a weak auto on a minion heals you for about 5-10 health. Even more as the game goes on. With how easy it procs FF, it becomes a potent sustain tool that helps universally.
- The 'slow resist' that Phase Rush gives just isn't that relevant even if you do proc it. There are very few scenarios where it's going to save you - and they are not reliable situations.
and wonder why.
