Let me complain about every single released champions in the past 2 years

Because I feel like the boards is either playing an other game, or just focuses on Akali's shroud when there are ten times worse design issues that got released from designers that are again, TEN TIMES worse than CertainlyT.

Let's start with Camille designed by Riot %%%%ing Jag, the same designer who did Aatrox Kaisa . Camille was released as a champion intended to hardcounter mobility creep with her ult, turned out to be a champion released to replace old bruisers. This champion is so fucking shit on a design perspective that even Blaustoise said on LL Stylish that there is no counteplay to camille, a champion released in 2017. She has everything, EVERYTHING do you hear me when I say everything? her kit can be split in 2 and make 2 champions. Her mobility is unmatched because she can travel an entire screen on low cooldown, while also making you her bitch for 4 seconds with her ult. And for some reasons, nowday spells that have to be dodged like camille E are so fast that you can't dodge them without mobility spells it's so disgusting.

Then Galio , designed by S O L C R U S H E D. Don't know him? The same designer who made Irelia Neeko Sejuani (last rework version, the toxic one with point and click cc btw). I just want to say that his first champion was the FIRST version of Viktor . Who got reworked twice, the first time because he was too simple and boring, his Q only had the shield/damage part (without the AA enhance), his W only had the slow/stun part and his E/R were almost the same, his problem was more that he could only upgrade one spell. Why am I talking about that? Because it's funny how a designer can go from designing in 2012 a simple champion like Viktor to a fucking horrible overloaded champion like Galio Irelia in 2017 and 2018. Galio, the bane of high elo games. The champion without a single counterplay but yet doesn't get complained about because below d1 nobody knows how to use him. The mage+tank+assassin+support in 1 champion. Galio can legit oneshot you you don't belive me?

https://youtu.be/L6Cvq8SfFGQ?t=53

Enjoy, how you're going to get killed through a sona heal/shield + your own heal while being full hp, by a champion who can tank a lucian full combo. You think that Akali can do that? OMEGALUL this champion is so fucking terrible on a design perpective just like camille, they tried to balance him by removing his ult damage reduction (hahahaha) and HE IS STILL PERMABANNED IN HIGH ELO AND PRO PLAY (watch the kespa cup if you don't believe me). The Galio rework was a disgrace, idc about how bad old galio was he should have used an other rework than a rework like this, making him able to hardcounter melee champions, oneshot squishy ranged champions, waveclear, cc, be safe.

Rakan Once again, a champion that nobody amongst the boards will complain about when he is every single support in 1 champion. Rakan, the support designed for autofilled assassin players (the words of Riot, not me) created by EndlessPillow the same designer who made Pyke (XD). Once again I'm baffled, it's really amazing how in 2017 after so much experiences they managed to release a champion with 0 counterplay. It's fun to play against Rakan and die because he used R+flash+W, and then if your team tries to react he's just going to charm them with his billion of movement speed. Rakan is absolutely insane, he has 0 bad match ups in lane unless he gets olafed by Riot. Picking Thresh into Braum+Draven lane is just inting. Picking Rakan against anything will not result in you inting because this champion has sustain, passive shield, so much mobility, can shield his ally against poke, can even engage/stonewall agressions with W.

The boards will only talk about Akali, but nobody will talk about those champions who happen to break high elo games everytime they're viable like Rakan or Galio.

Galio legit replaced Twisted Fate, but nobody will realize that. "oh Twisted Fate and Galio are very different!" Yet, TF a champion who used to be picked regardless of the meta in pro, was no more played after Galio got released, there were Z E R O games of TF ever since Galio was up.

Same with Kaisa she's just a better vayne. This feels insane to think that those designs are approved. Do you think that CertainlyT gave a 3000 range dash to Graves a champion who's supposed to be weak against ranged damage? No he fucking did not, yet Jag did it and made Kai'sa good against everyone. Do you think that CertainlyT would give passive sustain to Thresh , in order to make him unpokable? No, but AGAIN EndlessPillow thinks that Pyke an agressive support should not be poked out of the lane like Thresh Blitzcrank Leona .

Welcome to champion designing in 2018, and I did not even talk about how BS Ornn is and unbalanceable or how the "shielding hardcounter" happens to counter everyone Irelia .

Xayah Swain Evelynn Urgot Warwick Big up to everyone who worked on those champions. Only champions who do not tilt me in game

OMEGALUL

Evelynn can gank very well before 6. After all she has a ranged charm which can be procced even if she misses due to fantastic design

Not being able to duel 70% of junglers early on is not an excuse for her to be an abomination that she is You can always avoid duels in jungle without much drawback

Current evelynn can easly be graded as the WORST FKING REWORK counterplay wise. Mordekaiser rework was poor but eve rework is jsut fking AIDS

No she can't, you use W congrat how are you going to close the gap now? Unless you hypersynergises with someone who can cc for a long time allowing you to get in range to charm it's not goanna happen

an excuse

Idc about excuses, If it doesn't tilt me it doesn't tilt me period, I don't need to excuse how I feel Everytime I play against Evelynn I win because I make the enemy botlane hard int as Lucian/Draven and I don't get ganked lvl 2

The only time I lose is because I played the lane bad myself and lost because of me

While If I play against camille/nida/lee/xin and current meta junglers they gank lvl 2 bot and either kill me or force my flash

Meta junglers are

Kindred, eve, gragas, kha zix, rengar, kayn, graves and cammile With Hecarim also being quite close there

Its extremly hard for me to believe that Evelyn doesnt make everyone poke their eyes out Is your champion pool full of Sivir, GP, Noc and Tanks

I would stomach playing against eve with those but aside from that FK OF THOT CHAMP

First of all, Camille doesn't scale with AP. So she's not going to get as much value out of Zhonya's as a non-AD scaling champ would out of Guardian Angel.

As for Galio, it's not that people don't know how to use him. It's that allies don't know how to play with him. He's fine on ARAM, where it's actually super easy to play him since the map is much smaller that the opportunities for his allies to notice his moments of power are many.

I think Lee Sin does Rakan's job but better except when it comes to Rakan's ultimate. That's where Rakan truly shines. But up until then, Rakan's suffers even more than Galio does due to a lack of independence. Rakan needs teamwork the entire game through while Galio only needs it some of the time. In this damage meta, Rakan becomes completely invalid while Galio is simply a weak choice when allies can't be trusted.

I've not played Kai'sa extensively and I don't own Vayne, however I would like to point out that even though Kai'sa scales with AP and Vayne does not, Vayne has a different type of chasing power and also a fool-proof knockback on a relatively short cooldown. It would seem like you are biased yet again because I do not see these champions as being too similar or that Kai'sa is without disadvantages compared to Vayne.

Pyke is incredibly annoying, I can't argue with your opinion here especially as I do not own him but I think that he's one of the best designs in this game like Kai'sa, unlike the other ones you were complaining about. People want high damage champs, they are given high damage champs and that's what these champs do. They have weaknesses...although I would also like to add that it's probably only a matter of time until they either reduce Pyke's late game sustain where he is the least punishable and that's something worth complaining about IMHO or they simply introduce or balance item/champion counters for him.

Ornn is interesting.

Irelia is unfair.

Akali is a joke(I'm not even scared of her, and her invisibility is not even impressive compared to other invisible champs so I don't get why people constantly bring that up). If it were me I would increase the area she could be invisible in, by a lot! Then she might actually be a little bit good.

Evelynn feels like a gimmick champion, I do not like her redesign one bit.

Swain is fine but I wish he were Vlad's rework instead. The old Swain was fine and Vlad is boring.

Warwick is annoying but he seems relatively fair most of the time.

Urgot feels like a weaker version of Pyke, they should increase his attack range IMO or do something because he doesn't feel good enough in the current meta.

Rakan needs teamwork the entire game

I DONT GIVE A ùùùù ABOUT THAT This is why average boards member would never complain about Rakan, simply because low MMR cannot make use of Rakan's broken kit.

As for Galio [...] He's fine on ARAM

Galio is easy to play. Period. You are talking about players of your elo. Game shouldnt be balanced nor designed around players having no clue about the game. Sure Silvers dont know how to play around galio so he's meh at your elo. But when you climb this champion is really too strong.

I think Lee Sin does Rakan's job but better except when it comes to Rakan's ultimate. That's where Rakan truly shines. WTF ???? Dont even know where to start.

He's clearly not biaised. In high elo there no reason to pick VAyne, players will punish her short range and her weak early.

Urgot feels like a weaker version of Pyke, they should increase his attack range IMO or do something because he doesn't feel good enough in the current meta.

??? This top tier sh*t still avoid hammer nerf.

Since you said every single champion what about Nunu Zoe Ivern Kayn XinZhao ?

D357R0Y3R1 votes

I forgot that Nunu was in the game LMFAO, I guess that the rework was balanced, even though I disagree with removing his attack speed steroid at least he isn't bullshit

Zoe

No need, because she's a champion that the boards complain a lot about with Kayn so I don't need to talk about them, just like why I didn't talk about Akali.

Xin zhao

mini-rework, didn't talk about them like Azir

Ivern

pretty sure it's been more than 2 years that he's out

While you have every right to complain about these champions. I can see the point where these champions are problematic even if not designed by certainlyt. I'll just say about certain champions, my point of view.

Camille- I main Urgot when i play top. So she's not that much of an issue to me. But i can understand why she's a problem. My primary main is Vel'Koz, so the only way to 1 shot her is if i get fed. If we are even or Camille is fed, there is no chance.

Aatrox- I don't know. I kinda liked that rework really...

Kai'sa- At 1st i liked the champion concept. But now i just think she's a bad design. She can go AP and AD and AS, get all her evolved abilities and be a hard carry. There is little to no counter build against her.

Galio- I have no memory on old Galio. But i remember the Galio Q disaster where he 1 shot a 10k HP Cho'gath when going AP build. One of Riot's biggest embarrassment and i believe the balance team were accused of being clueless when that Galio Q happened. They even had to show they are at least Diamond. Yeah like that's going to prove anything on having a clue. hahahaha

Irelia- No words. That abomination made me drop from silver 1 to silver 3 in the mid lane, and banning her was not an option because Zed was literally spammed everywhere when not banned. Even Morello said that Irelia was a mistake when she was newly designed. Here's the link: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/fjAdQwPo-morello-09-17-2011-about-irelia-and-overloaded-kits?show=flat

Neeko- I think she's well designed. She's not overloaded to say the least.

Sejuani- Idk about her. I never experienced her "toxic" point and click cc.

Viktor- I faced a Viktor top. Most toxic match up ever. Call me crybaby but i even reported him for cheating. That's how tilted i was. hahahaha...hahaha...ha...

Rakan- I'm neutral about him. To be honest i haven't seen that champion for months now. Since maybe September.

Pyke- Designed for the auto-filled supports. That's what i believe at least. Let him get a penta on his ulti and the only way to nerf the snowballing is to remove Pyke. Idk if he's a bad design though.

Ornn- Honestly i liked that champion.

Pyke has a solid design, but his ult should be exchanged with the same jump he makes, but it should stun, or additionally should give a shield to your allys, instead of the ridiculous true dmg. I think riot forgot, that they designed a support and no midlaner.

For a champion that can share the gold with an ally on kill... I think he's designed by someone who likes to KS his team mate and avoid getting flamed. Because last time i did a KS (by mistake) the ally just ran it down mid.

However, Pyke's design is like a solution to the KS-ing problem but 2 more problems just took its place. 1 problem is can be played mid lane and 2nd can increase snowballing dramatically.

This is some hydra stuff right here. Cut 1 head, 2 more grows back.

people just don´t like high mobility, dmg, and stealth

-one-shots leave you more unsatisfied since you lose, obviously, but on top of that, you also don´t get to input anything.

-mobility is exhausting since you have to keep track of multiple things at ones constantly and information has to be processed a lot quicker. Seeing how the enemy can choose from a plethora of engage and disengage options at all time is also infuriating when you play a champ that simply can´t do as much.

-stealth has barely any counters

That would explain why Zoe Irelia Evelynn Pyke Zed Leblanc Camille Fizz Yasuo are so despised as they all share at least two of the three traits mentioned. Heck, pyke has all three.

Meanwhile, people seem to be more lenient when it comes to CC, tankiness or certain unique mechanics, even when they can be objectively overbearing.

Alistar Galio Gangplank Sion TahmKench Lissandra

come to my mind.

In summary and as a rule of thumb: the flashier a champions kit is the more hate it attracts regardless of how good that champ actually performs, which may be caused by the misconception that flashy plays are automatically hard to pull off and sign of skill and mastery when there are a lot of maneuvers which look flashy while requiring minimum effort.

So, depending on your perspective playing crappy on a flashy champ can still feel enjoyable and give you the impression that you are having an impact even if that isn´t the case while playing well on a non-flashy champ can still feel disheartening when no one could tell that you even did something. (the good old support conundrum)

And I have the feeling that this applies in reverse. Getting killed by a veigar R is annoying and you may bitch about the dmg but it is usually shrugged off in the end. Meanwhile getting killed by a champ who dashes through 1million minions before killing you leaves you mad, because even the most basic feats look like outplays with these champions and outplays usually suggests that one player performed very well while the other did terribly. So instead of coping with a small mistake, where you would say "shit happens" you now have to justify your actions and explain why this scene which looked like an outplay and a lot flashier than it actually was, was a result of a small mistake and not complete incompetence.

And the conclusion to which most people come is ----> (insert flashy champ of choice) is bullshit
