Problem is, I just do not know how to keep up with the enemy jungle anymore whenever I do play the role.

I feel so utterly helpless and that my success hinges entirely too heavily on the performance of my allies now more than ever before.

If I could figure out a way to make it work, I would main the role. Because I am so tired of having the role filled by players who, like me, just cannot do the job anymore. It truly sucks to be a jungler and it sucks just as much to have an ally jungle who cannot perform the job.

Hi there, jungle main here who, last season, climbed from high bronze to low gold with a 70% win rate playing exclusively jungle (yes, this was on my main account and yes, it was actually me playing). I would prefer to talk about this rather than type it out, or at least be able to use my phone to type because I don't have a proper computer desk right now as I'm home from college for winter break and there isn't one in my parents' house. Dont bother learning jungle at its current state, its really hard to understand, and its not a really efficient role. Before if you played at 70% you would be like 70% useful, but now if you play at 70% you will get like 30% efficiency. You need to have all the essential skills and a lot of game knowledge such as objective taking, lane reading and play at your fullest in order to be efficient. Just switch to mid if you want to climb, mid has always been the best role for solo/duo. As for the jungle either spend countless hours of time to improve your game knowledge or just play for fun and dont really worry about it.(but not in ranked of course)

Get comfortable with something simple. Nocturne is a good champion to learn jungle with. Borderline zero microplay, lets you focus on getting used to the macroplay of jungle.

I have to agree Kocikreka where said,

Reasoning is rito will change jungle again day that season starts so jungle will have relearn role/pathing etc again, i only have to point to start of season 9 patch.

Everybody knows they will do it again.

Hi as a top laner I feel your pain. Here's what I do:

I play super passive early game, i never expect ganks or even ask for ganks.
I freeze wave close to my tower and only fight my lane opponent when I am sure I can win.
If my JG feeds or my team feeds I use them as strategic meat shields by always arriving to team fights late after the enemy team has blown their cooldowns so I can clean up or at least go even.
I use teleport for dragon I ping dragon for my JG to get the idea and if he/she is clueless I sacrifice if I must the first 2 drags then wait for a team fight and tele to drag pit and do it myself while the other team is killing my team. If i'm ahead in lane I will sacrifice my tower/tower plates for dragon as in the long run dragon is a better objective.

Honestsly its kind of fascinating watching the fallout as a former jungler turned support main that autofilled jungles are so common now it seems normal, riot killed the role and made superficial changes to make it look like they listened to junglers but in reality did nothing.
