Cassiopeia, Skarner and Ryze get reworks on a yearly basis

Meanwhile Warwick, Yorick, Taric and Shaco are left on the backburner for 5 years and counting, without a single peep of a rework in sight. It's sad that we have champions that get reworks yearly and then some champions who mind as well not be on the roster because of how neglected they are. We need to find a better way to make one rework be enough for a champion's health. It's not fair to these 4 aforementioned champions to be thrown into the gutter for 5 years before anyone even attempts a rework on them.

Do you really want them to try and rework more champions when they can't even get the hang of these ones? Cass's rework was truly awful and they should have way closer to the shurima event.

so you want to reach half the roster to be unplayable at all since you might as well be giving the enemy a free win by picking those champions? sorry but any rework done to them is better than them just rotting and being literally troll picks any time you use them

Cassiopeia's rework ruined her in the eyes of her players and they owe it to her players to fix that garbage. Ryze is pick or ban tier. That is a more urgent problem to the game than Shaco or Taric because it actually does result in pushing out a ton of the champion roster as opposed to one or two champions that players enjoy and are viable in lower-tier games but don't quite make the cut in the pro scene.

Yorick is the only one of those that really needs the attention you're talking about, but he basically needs a complete relaunch when they come up with a solid kit that fits a gameplay fantasy that's very hard to implement correctly.

Ryze you can easily do a few numbers tweaks and he would be fine or some minor changes. He barely needs a full on rework and I could care less about what the Cass rework did in your eyes at least she is somewhat viable. These other champions have been waiting for YEARS for SOMETHING to be done to them. If they just stopped with their BS of reworking champions THAT DO NOT NEED ONE! these ones wouldn't need to suffer and wait an eternity for just to get a shot at them being relevant and not complete troll picks.

Someone being a pubstomper does not make it viable, it just make it be incredibly annoying to play at that stage and hope to god that someone has any idea of what they are doing. You can pick Yorick in low tier games and do well doesn't mean jack in the grand scheme of things.

Zilean has a great kit? sorry but he is not a time mage at all, he is literally a bomb mage that prevents allies from dying once in a while. His kit is far from great at all, it's in dire need of change since it's not what he is supposed to be at all.

Warwick is nothing more than a champion who is only able to beat anyone when he out stats the enemy. He has 0 depth, 0 mastery, 0 decision making. People complain about Sona and Soraka being braindead easy? Warwick IS the definition of braindead easy. He uses his AS buff and autos someone while using his Q once in a while to heal himself... there are way better beginner champions if you want to learn how to jungle. Warwick does nothing at all unless he gets far ahead due to him relying on having more stats or out-sustaining the opponent to win.

Shaco is in need of changes, i don't care if people think he will be ruined. He needs changes or be relegated to just receive nerfs the instant he becomes anything but mediocre. Sorry but that is a sign of someone of needs to change, Riot has done it with many champions so he shouldn't get special treatment just because of the 5 people who like using him.

Galio is a mage last i saw, he is not a tank. So why is he not getting changes? oh right! because Riot would rather spend more time on reworking champions that do not need reworks at all and then keep shoving the ones who actually need the reworks to the side. So when are the people who like playing those champions supposed to enjoy playing them without the stigma that their champions are troll picks? when are the people whose champions get reworked every single year in some way or another supposed to find stability to their champions? when is Riot going to stop giving us half-assed reworks that only end up ruining the champions when all they needed to do was change one ability or two at most? Sorry but when a champion has been left to rot for over 4 years! priority should fall on that champion and not one they can just tweak their numbers slightly until they deal with the old champion that needs the work more than any other.

Don't put all the credit on the underplayed champions. All of the ones that are popular are over-tuned. Some of them grossly over-tuned relative to the rest of the cast.

A Potential Warwick rework was leaked a year or two ago, but not changes were implemented and the project has been delayed. Taric Rework will be released in 2-3 Months from now. I don't really think Shaco is in a bad place, if he does get a rework, it will probably be after Warwick/Yorick, which won't happen anytime soon.

That is exactly what I mean though. These champions all had "reworks" planned at one time or another, but all were scrapped because of champions like Cassiopeia and Ryze who are reworked so often due to the failure after failure in the reworks.

Cassiopeia has only had 1 rework. Where are you getting this "reworked so often" idea from? Her rework was a failure and the lead designer of it even gave up on it after it was released. NO ONE liked what happened to Cassiopeia and she had a pretty decent sized fan base so yeah they are fixing their mistake. As for Ryze, he is completely broken 100% pick and banned in the LCS. They have to change him because he's the most broken champ in game right now.

Eh, seems like Soraka is more banned, and alot more people are more banned Tahm gp and kindred are like 2-3 times more banned too.

That's exactly the point of the thread. Ryze has been reworked 4 times now, and has been just as broken op and unhealthy as ever. Cassiopeia, had one rework, and is getting another rework. My point for making the thread was to point out that Riot and the Community need to figure out a way for the first rework to stick, rather than having to get 3-5 reworks before we get it "right" it leaves other champions like Urgot, Yorick, and Taric to rot on a bookshelf for 5 years before anyone even attempts to wipe off the dust.

Ohh good point. Urgot is another champion who mind as well not be on the roster with how neglected he's been for 5-6 years.

Tbh i see Urgot alot more then Cass, and even more Zilean then both, but i play all of them.

The only change ryze needs is to make his W a skill shot. And prevent his passive from stacking if he does not hit anything with his spells.

his W is a short range root... he will hit you with it regardless of whether it's a skillshot or not... or do you want the range of it increased and the duration of said root to increase as well? and if you don't want the passive to stack up if he doesn't hit anything then he will either need to require less stacks for it to activate or it buffing the hell out of it to compensate

Yeah but Meddler confirmed that there are no plans for reworking Shaco at the moment (this was back like a week before the patch where they gave clones visual buffs). Shaco players don't want a Shaco rework.

Take Shaco off that list and add Urgot Galio Kayle Irelia

Sure I can do that :), but the point still stands. There are multiple champions who are considered troll picks right now because of how long they've been neglected, but Riot funnels all of their energy into Ryze or Cassiopeia because they can't seem to get a rework right with either of them.

Taric has gotten several reworks or adjustments, and he still functions in a respectable, clearly defined manner. Not to mention the one coming out soon.

Warwick they're working on. They don't know where they want to go with him, but there is a rework in sight.

Shaco people would throw a fit about it if he got changed, and he receives adjustments every so often.

Yorick has a huge total rework coming.

Champions like Yorick and Warwick take so much longer to rework because they need full-scale reworks, whereas people like Ryze and Cass have only ever had medium-sized ones. Ryze's last rework had a new passive and some changes to his existing abilities, Cass had that + a visual update, Skarner gets the occasional new passive and that's about it. It's a lot quicker to do those kind of reworks than the reworks where completely new kits, visuals and voiceovers are needed.
