crying about mias

i just got raged at all games for "not calling my mias" for my top riven with tele. here's a little backstory on it. come 6 minutes i am 2/0 on this riven, and way outfarming her. so the second time i kill her, when she's up she immediately teles to a ward placed behind our overpushed bot and gets a triple kill. i am now eating abuse because i didn't ping the mia for riven, even though they just congratulated me 10 second before on killing her. this keeps happening, bot overpushes, riven teles behind them. i make it a point that whenever i kill riven i ping mia, and i let them know not to engage when she's missing.

they keep engaging, and getting demolished when she runs out. then i hear "this darius lost us the game because he doesn't show up to where his top tele's to". meanwhile, i have almost triple the farm of bot lane, 17 kills, 4 turrets taken, and have taken 3 inhibitors total.

and not once did i say anything bad to them other than "riven keeps coming bot because you're squishy and easy kills" we end up winning the game, with me and riven tied at 17 kills, and i have a botlane screaming to report me because i intentionally let her get fed to spite them.

so here's a bit of advice on how to never deal with situations like these in league.

  1. mute everyone from the start.
  2. don't play league. does anyone else thinks something is very wrong with this community that those are the only two solutions to not dealing with toxic people?

Any time someone says 'where was the mia?

I respond with 'where was the map awareness?'

like thats what annoyed me. had i known she wasn't coming back to top, i totally would've pinged an mia. but when you kill someone early in lane, you expect them to rush back to defend their turret. not teleport into bot lane.

You should give MIAs, is it your fault they died? no. In the end it's both your bads.

i did give mias. the problem is the second i kill her i don't expect her to blow her tele to bot. and that's not my problem if she's teleporting to bot, and my bot lane keeps pushing while they see it. i pinged as much as i could, took 4 turrets, carried my team, all while still trying to be nice to my team, and i still get slapped by reports from 13 year old kiddies just out of class.

Gotcha, if you don't mind me asking, how old are you that you worry about getting reported by "13 year olds".

People that lose get upset, they blame everyone but themselves, get used to it and don't let it bother you.

In that case I get the feeling your bot was a duo, and that's inherently a problem because typically whenever a duo bot dies it's someone else's fault because they're a duo and they can't possibly be at fault or lose on their own for their own mistakes.

In that case you just have to let it go, because telling them you did ping and that you can't always tele straight in to save their bacon as typically your teleport even if reacting instantly to it, will still be behind Riven's because she started the channel first. Just counter report them for being toxic, the tribunal will see everything in the chat logs during the game.

I have to admit that I clicked on this post expecting to explain why calling MIA is important and how it's your responsibility to notify your team when your lane goes missing, but since you did and your bot lane refused to pay attention to anything going on in the game, don't even worry about it.
