Yasuo did not need another shield this early in the game

now grants a shield. This is very good news for those who lack natural defensive stats and/or abilities who focus builds around crit, i.e. Marksmen. However there are a few melee who also benefit form the shielded crit item change. Yasuo has become even stronger in the early game. At 1 item, he now has upto 3 shields (Passive PD and Barrier) and a WW ability in the early game. He did not need another shield for early game, a time when he is supposed to be at his weakest.

Maybe change his passive to proc his item shields as well, or reset its amount of flow charge whenever another shield is used by him (not including shields from other champions), or set it to proc at only =< 30% remaining health like all the item shields do.

Yasuo is no longer building it. He goes with item 3087 now.

Also he already could do it with Sterak's.

Steraks by design is useless until level 9 at best, generally 11 or 12. The Jaurim+Pickaxe recipe is 40 AD and no champion passes 80 base AD that soon. PD power doesnt scale as hard with levels

Perhaps in low elo where people don't read patch notes and buy whatever is in the recommended tab? Shiv is just better right now because PD gives too little attack speed

If Yasuo build item 3046 , he can no longer build item 3053 and vice versa. The unique passive doesn't interact or stack with each other, the Phantom dancer proc and Sterak does nothing. They all build stattik Shiv now.

I think he would rather have a shield and a free item slot as a first item than have to buy a crit item and also sterak for the shield. Plus the shield is way better since Yasuo tends to not get many bonus health items.

PD changes were a nerf to yasuo.

Yasuo got stronger because they made IE better for him, and shiv was also buffed a bit.

The PD stat nerfs make it a bad item on yasuo now, so he rushes a shiv. So later on he gets steraks instead so all you people who complain about this yasuo rushing pd is stupid. Sure he gets a shield but he loses tons of stats and damage that he could have from shiv.
