Can we put like 10-20% Crit Chance on Runaans?
So its actually worth buying?
So its actually worth buying?
Would probably feel like a sort of weird stat to have on it, since its unique effect isn't compatible with crits. If you wanted to tack on damage, probably just AD would be less awkward?
Why not put grievous wounds on Runaans
that would make it broken.
It already has +70% Attack Speed and doing 50% of AD to nearby enemies.
It's the best item for late'ish game ADC's since by this time you should
have bought stuff like
/
for the extra damage.
Then you move on to the
as your wave clear since it works way better than the
.
PD is better since waveclear is pretty irrelevant late game unless you're all by yourself trying to fight super minion waves off your Nexus.
I don't see how
would be a better wave clear than
.
Yes, PD has 50% Attack speed / 30% Crit / 5% move speed
but clearing waves with the RH is a lot faster. I mean, you are trying to push your lane all the way to the nexus so you want to clear things as fast as you can. Even if it's just creeps, you want your lane in a winning position if you want to do other things in other lanes.
No, I said Runaan's has waveclear, and waveclear is not really that needed except in certain situations (your kit has no waveclear and you need to do so) so PD is better. Read it again.
I'll admit I thought you were comparing wave clear between the two... but even so.
RH does have more attack speed and can do extra damage to more enemies around the targeted enemy so it is also good in team fights. If you get PD for the crit, then that's good. But all you really need is about 25-50% crit rate to kill things since adc's need a ton of power first thing as you go into attack speed afterwards.
IE is good because it gives a lot of AD as well as 25% crit rate with a boost in power of crits as well. So that's a staple start item for all adc's
Champions like
can abuse this to her advantage.
But other adc's might need more crit rate but they should only get more, like the PD, until they are sure they have enough power and attack speed before that.
the way I see how adc's should build is something like.... AD -> Attack Speed -> Crit Rate
So a RH should be bought before you start getting the PD. PD should at lease be the 4th or 5th item you should get.
...No. Hurricane is bad except for a few select champions in a few select situations. This is simply because of how crit chance works, being a direct damage multiplier. Phantom Dancer (And Shiv) are way, way better late game because ADCs dip into that sexy 3x multiplication of Damage, Attack Speed, and Crit Chance. You need large amounts of each for it to work, and you need Penetration so the damage actually goes through.
The amount of single target damage you lose for the potential to hit extra targets that are stacked up is absurd. You NEED Infinity Edge. You NEED that early Shiv/PD/Ghostblade to make the crit from IE function for your mid game power spike. You NEED a Last Whisper to actually hurt your targets. You NEED Lifesteal, so BotRK or BT. You have one slot left for another item, because you have boots.
So, final item slot. Most of the time, that's going to be a GA or Banshees or other pure defense item. If it isn't a pure defense item, it is going to be a Mercurial Scimitar because you are playing against a Zed and don't want to get insta killed by his ult. I guess you could toss a Hurricane in your last slot. But if you are looking for attack speed, why not toss in another PD for more crit and move speed? It just... Doesn't bring anything to the vast majority of ADCs that they want.
Also note that all that stuff I said is for the auto-attack based non-Trinity Force ADCs.
Nah just have the side bolts do true damage
If they want to buff Runaan's to be worthwhile to a larger crowd (you know, anything not Kayle), I think they could reduce the AS stats, and give it an additional unique effect or active. Such as; Every X autoattacks Runaan's blows dust in a cone in front of you, blinding enemies for 1 second, or Blow a gust of wind that creates a cloud of dust and reduces enemy vision (like Graves): 90 second CD. Would become a good item for dueling if you can blind the enemy ADC.
It's worth buying on certain champs, which is reasonable. It's like people forget that we only had one real source of lifesteal for several seaons (since no one really built executioner when it did have it and fervor wasn't very adc oriented.
I mean, even Kayle gets use out of it - it's a niche item so it's in a decent spot.
