Did I play Shen before the update, yes.

What am I here to talk about...

In the past, Shen use to have a an added effect on his Q where if he hits the enemy with the Q on them, he gains bonus HP regen for a short period of time. And though he now deals % health damage to enemies (faster, and more powerful if its a Champion) why not have it so that if the Q goes through an enemy they are marked and if Shen or an ally hit them, they gain bonus health regen for about seconds (or so...). I miss this aspect of Shen and to be fair, I'd even want Shen's ult to have a much MUCH shorter cool down. Why? Its the same for Kalista, its only usable if Shen were to target an ally.

Now for the health regen bonus, it can be smaller than it once was. Could be as low as +1/2/3/4/5 (+ 0.01% AP) over the course of 4 seconds meaning you gain 4/8/12/16/20 (+0.04% AP) in health. The highest I'd ask for is just 2/4/6/8/10 (+0.02% AP) over 5 seconds which is still lower than it once was but gives Shen back a total of 10/20/30/40/50 (+0.1% AP).

The first would be weak but efficient if you just get about 100-200 AP, you or an ally would gain back a bonus 4-8 health meaning at max rank it would just be an extra 28 health during your health regen. The other (if we used the same amount) would go to a more extreme amount (which I'd like to avoid). It would reach a bonus 10-20 health, and added at max it would give Shen a bonus 70 health in his health regen (to allies as well).

If Shen were to go full AP and get 600 to even 800, the first wouldn't be strong but still keep an ally alive for a very long time. The bonus would go up from just 4 - 8 to 24 - 32 (which would be 44 - 54 bonus health regen during the 4 seconds). If we use the OP version, it would raise the total to 60 - 80 total health regenerated (and with the base, it would equal to 110 - 130 worth of a heal). A tank with this much heal would be crazy to fight against.

Why am I asking for a heal... Shen (like Alister and Leona) is meant to be a Tank/Support. Though this doesn't stop him from going top, his Support lacks a lot when your R can't be used a lot and your W and E take a lot of maneuvering (which isn't as easy to accomplish when they are ranged). The heal would also be nice for and if Shen has to go under tower. His R won't help him there, his W doesn't block turret damage, and his E is the initiative, so this would help. Probably wouldn't be good against Juggernauts in top lane but against squishy ADCs (and with a constant partner) you have more of an opportunity.

Does Shen need this change? No.

Would it help him? Yes.

Am I making the heal a little weak... yes, but for a reason.

This is how I envisioned a heal on Shen.

It would scale with max health, and work only on champions through his 3 consecutive empowered autos.

So im thinking the heal should be 1%-5% on max health with possibly an added ap ratio for off builds?

The old q was great because you could heal a small amount on a creep kill or over time if you attacked the target.

bring back vorpal blade heal on Q. shen is now way better
