Thresh's Death Sentence Hitbox

Ok, just for my sanity. Is the hitbox for this working as intended or is it just something they dont know how to fix?

I was just in a game where the other teams thresh hooked our Yi jungler. What I seen was so bad I couldnt even be mad, i just laughed. I mean i was playing Malphite and the hook missed by so much i could of been standing between Yi and the hook, it was that much space. But somehow once the hook went past Yi it magically slid to the left and got him.

you dont have to search hard on yourtube to find dozens of videos about the hitbox on this ability. Some even go back as far as 2 years ago.

So is it meant to visually miss by a mile and still hook or do they just not know how to fix it?

there are a ton of champs with shit hitboxes like lux and thresh

it isnt only hitboxes tho, lag plays a big part in it also.

it would be nice if riot did a hitbox overhaul and really checked up on champs with poor hitboxes

It's not the only thing that acts weird. You know how Xin Zhao dashes to his target in a straight line? I was playing LeBlanc, threw my chain directly towards him as he dashed, and it passed straight through him. Riot's coding needs help, badly.

For an explanation (not an excuse), the way his hook works (and I think ALL hooks work like this) is that the further out it extends the wider it gets, but only ever so slightly. So his hook missed by a pixel perfect shot by the beginning of Yi's hotbox and managed to tag him by the end of it.
