Fiddlesticks is still going to need way more attention.

A tiny buff to his early ranks in drain and some cooldown reduction on his E isn't enough. Fiddlesticks has been more negatively affected by the jungle changes than any other champion, bar none. Trying to clear raptors or kruggs is a nightmare, especially without blue or runic echoes, he simply has too many targets that won't die to dark wind so it requires constantly rechanneling his Q, resulting in tons of downtime and tons of mana expenditure. His buff clear is also way slower because he can't bounce his E. In the same patch, the AP from blue was removed. Fiddlesticks has high AP ratios and really depended on that extra AP.

He's a simple champion that rarely had below a 50% winrate, so at a 45% winrate AFTER the "buff", it's obvious something is wrong. Here are a few things you could start with.

  1. If his drain kills the target, have it automatically 'hop' to a nearby enemy within range. This would slightly improve non-buff clears and it would rarely have some situational use when fighting enemy champions, although it's more likely Fiddle's channel will be interrupted before he kills an enemy and the tether hops.

  2. Have monsters count as half a bounce for his dark wind cap. This would help his raptor/krugg clear without affecting his damage vs champions at all. The intent of this buff is to increase his efficiency against multiple monsters caps so much that he doesn't need any compensation for clearing buffs.

  3. Add more interaction to his passive. I think this is one of the cooler passives with a lot of wasted potential. It could give a super small fear on his next attack/ability against a champion, such as a .25 second fear. This would be appropriate CC for his kit and his theme as a terrifying scarecrow. It could also be used with aoe abilities, allowing for interesting combos such as ulting into the enemy team and very briefly fearing all of them, or chaining a dark wind and spreading terror throughout the enemy team.

Really I don't care what happens, but he needs a buff. He's meant to be a fairly simple, reliable magic damage jungler. I don't think he's ever been anywhere near this bad, even with runeglaive.

Need to further lower the cooldowns of his abilities early and reduce the mana costs

Honestly? I don't have any sort of data to back up my point right here aside from anecdotal evidence, and after withstanding a Fiddlesticks mid yesterday, I would say he needs buffs that would specifically help him for jungle, and make him less effective in mid lane. Perhaps this Fiddlesticks was simply just REALLY good, but considering it was normals, I somewhat doubt that. Regardless, he absolutely destroyed us. That god-forsaken E bounces so freaking far and lasts so long it's absurd. Twice I died to that E running away as fast as I possibly could because it bounced so many times and silenced me while singlehandedly disabling my entire team, despite being relatively spread out.

I would be thrilled to see his mid-lane discouraged. Do whatever you want to make his jungle better, but that mid-lane match-up is insane.

huh, I wouldn't think his mid lane power would be pushing it that much.

But if you do ever play him in LotPK, he's bloody ridiculous. His E bounce is really good at hitting multiple enemies, multiple times, which is useful for procing tribute passive on FQC. On top of that, he isn't as mana intensive as some of the other mages, and his drain, is really good at damaging the Poro king. Not to mention that his sustain is really useful on the Howling Abyss.

This is my main LotPK build.

Use FQC for increased gold gen, and mana regen. Followed by Abyssal and Sorc shoes, in order to increase damage to champions while offering some protection against enemy magic damage. I follow that up with Protobelt, to increase my damage and initiation power when ulting. My build will vary after that, depending on the enemy teamcomp. I chose the rainbow pack, in an attempt to get the enemies closer so that I can nail them with Crowstorm.

I feel you so much, man. Unfortunately, there are currently a ton of champions Riot just doesn't give a damn about.

That is just not true... Riot can not fix every champion in a single patch. Secondly, Riot fixes ONE champion and because of that fix, another champion moves down the ladder.

Can you imagine crowstorming into an enemy team from the fog of war with this change. I'd be playing fiddlesticks even more if they did that, just so I can inflict a 5-man Fear debuff in teamfights. However I do think the Dark Wind portion is a bit too strong, would gladly keep the Silence instead.
