12/0 jungler and 0/12 support should not lose the same LP for loss...

We need a system that recognizes at least some individual performance by 2016... come on. I wouldn't feel as bad losing after going 12/0 for instance if I lost 10 LP instead of 18 and the 0/12 support lost 30. That is how it should be.

You right. JG should lose more for letting his bot lane get rolled like that when he was that fed.

It's been brought up. The concern we have with anything that modifies LP gain/loss that isn't 'your team won/didn't win' is that it can distort player behavior in game at the expense of their team. At present if you're trying to maximize your odds of gaining LP the best thing you can do is whatever increases your team's chances of winning the most. If you add LP incentives to personal champion grades however you end up with some situations where players are encouraged to try and maximize their grade at the expense of their team. That leads to cases like players refusing to defend because they think the game's already over and they don't want to get any more deaths, players farming to try and increase their CS for grade purposes instead of just winning the game, players going for repeated kills on weak enemy champs instead of just taking an objective etc.

As an extension of that, circumstances may favor one player over another in a match. The two might be equally skilled but may come out with drastically different scores.

For example let's say you're in a Gold 4 match, however, the enemy mid and jungler are Diamond smurfs duo queued together and they focus very heavily on ganking bot at the same time throughout the match, resulting in your bot lane having very bad scores. Meanwhile you were up top in a favorable matchup getting fed. Your score looks pretty awesome compared to bot, but in reality you did nothing to help your team because you let bot get steamrolled while you were too busy killing the guy that was actually just keeping you up there as a strategy.

It would not make sense to reward you for that and punish bot lane even more, as you can't tell what's deserved just by looking at the KDA. You win or lose the game as a team, not as individuals. Only the Nexus kill matters regardless of how that is accomplished.

If there is diamond Smurf in the game the game is over before it even started.

Teams fall together and win together. I learned this enough in high school football.

having just got out of this game.... i couldn't agree more

but unfortunately if you want to recognize individual skill level you would have to change the log scaling nature of the ranking system. and riot wont ever do that.

You didn't do any better on Galio. Didn't feed as much as the rest but 6/6/2 ain't good.

6/6/2 against fed af targets is really good, level and gold lead mean more than you think

i handed my team several game changing flash 4-5man ults that just totally flopped because of their terrible performance.

look at my total gold, now look at the rest of my teams gold.

now look at the enemy team's gold.

coming out even when behind is an accomplishment.

Why would you look at the Support's K/D to complain at? Do you want him KSing your ADC at bot lane so you can have the ADC complaining at the support for taking all the kills?

It's called a team game

A FUCKING 21-3 draven should not win 18 lp and the people getting carried get 20+

Funnily enough to do have individual performance recognition, but its only cosmetic (the mastery/grading system)

If they did the proposed system, bads would cry and say that riot is specifically punishing them for being less skilled, and discourage them from playing. Less playing = less money for the shitlheads at HQ.

If ur 12-0 how do u still lose the game??? Thats ur fault for playing badly

I lost this one just recently not because my carries were silver but because i couldnt figure out how to force feed them the kills.

But why is the support 0/12? Did they sacrifice themselves to the enemy to save someone else or try? Would be better to sacrifice the nearly gold worthless support as opposed to 'fed' player on the team.

I just looked it up... and I didn't know this. But kills don't win the game. Weird. Never knew.
