I became an Ahri main
And i wonder, what exactly is overpowered in her gameplay?
And i wonder, what exactly is overpowered in her gameplay?
She goes even/win almost every lane match up because of her sustain+Q movement speed+ulti 3 dashes which is why she ends up with a high win rate
her assassination is healthy, her R damage is delayed Q+E can be dodged and W can be blocked by the frontline which results in her being stronger in low elo where people stay alone
but people feed her then wonder why she's killing them without hitting Q/E
https://youtu.be/v5AHZ2kjDs0?t=3m28s I wouldnt call 1 item at min 15 with over 1000 wasted gold on like 40 damage from Sheen "fed" lol.

so to summarize: there is an ahri which belongs to the mage class known as a class that deals a retarded amount of damage in early game, caught an ADC which is known as an INCREDIBLY squishy class that sucks in early game which resulted in death
further, the mage was lvl 10= rank 3 on his second main damage spell
the mage also had
which amplify damage by a retarded amount if combined with mr pen runes
had
and hit her with all the bolts
had
which adds 86 bonus damage to her AA that deals 86 damage
and
to reduce healings
all of this resulted into an assassination that took a while allowing counterplay but the vayne was behind and couldn't fight back
[zombie-brand-facepalm]
People kept talking about "its an adc, she should die"... and thats true... if she hit her spells. But the point is: Ahri didnt hit anything as a "skillshot reliant champ". Just replace Vayne with some other squishy jungler/mid laner, no real difference.
** Just replace Vayne with some other squishy jungler/mid laner that weren't behind had at least one item and there would be a difference**
beside, ADC should die when they're alone they are supposed to be strong in teamfight
I wouldn't call a REALLY good protobelt hit an "ahri problem"
Um ... she goes even or wins all but one matchup...
Katarina.
A good Kat waits for you to miss your E (and since it's Kat, only point-blank Es work) and then punishes you with a high damage combo (if she knows what she's doing, and isn't "first time Kat" because Kat counters Ahri now). And if you ult when she does to get away from her? She wins the trade due her lower cooldowns.
So, technically, Ahri doesn't win every matchup. Actually, any champion that can correctly punish a missed E has a small chance of winning lane. I probably missed a few.
Ahri is a very easy match up for katarina like you said. In the early game, you out damage her at level 3 and if you dodge her e it makes it even easier to snowball the matchup.
Even without her being fed she's still a ridiculously strong pick because she always provide something for her team. On top of that she doesn't need to be fed because with morello alone her r w, which she doesn't need to aim, will shred any non-tank champion. Her charm last forever and her q is a garunteed hit as long as she charms first.
her safety. safety goes a long long long way in high elo.
that is true, then why isn't riot nerfing her safety?
riot doesnt really nerf mages unless they are incredibly broken.
Safety in mobility is her direction. Riot wants her to be the slippery fox.
Because that's the only thing they gave her as a compensation for DFG removal and nerfing it would mean they were wrong to even consider it.
And Riot isn't the type of company to easily admit fuck-ups of this kind.
Safety. That's it. Everything else about her is reasonable. It's also pretty OP that she gets a new skin more often than my wife gets a new pair of shoes.
You are pretty lucky, my girlfriend gets a new pair of shoes every other week
People do not like her Charm because if she hits you with it in a 1v1 then you're sort of dead. Her ult is pretty good utility in that it's a great mobility tool that has damage on top of it. So she can disengage, juke, and engage all with the same one. That's my best bet.
I think the thing I hate most about happened after the change/rescale.
They took the bonus damage off her charm and made her other skills do more.
This just means she can now miss her Q/E and still do tonnes of damage with her auto targeted ult and auto targeted W.
Actually lost a game the other day to this exact scenario. I had to kill her to save my nexus turrets, she ults in, misses charm, misses Q, pushes W, Foxfire does 1,100 dmg, thunderlord's and ignite do the rest.
EDIT: Memory was off, didn't get ignited, and got Protobelted for the last bit of hp. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECTDld0lgoY&feature=youtu.be
There is 0 chance fox fire did 1100 damage. Only the first orb gets the 100% damage described, the last 2 only deal 30% damage.
The most I have ever seen Fox fire do at full build level 18 is around 550-600.
Great thing that I didn't ask you if you thought it did that amount then isn't it? The exact number was more than 1,000 but slightly less than 1,100, I rounded for simplicity. Whether you have ever seen it do X amount of damage is irrelevant to me.
And I am just telling you, there is 0 chance that foxfire did 1100 damage, so nice try.
To do 1050 damage with w she would've needed 1291 ap (before resistances of course it would be much much more in reality), you are being an exaggerator.

EDIT: Or full build, baron buff, abyssal, void, and no bonus MR on the Xerath being hit. Perhaps it's time to stop pretending you know everything?
Give me a second to look that up, it definitely looks like being on fountain messed up the damage reduction on it (the second 2 hits do 30% damage). Props to you if you did actually have proof of a bug like that.
few things: she didn't oneshot you with foxefire but needed luden damage+one tick of ulti i admit this is still a lot but ANY MAGES would have done the same with 1000 AP
here was ahri's build: morello+void staff+rabadon+luden+proto+abyssal scepter+blue pot
if you had the same build with xerath you would have made anyone disappear simply with your Q+W from far away, or with 2 Q that has a low cd with 40% cdr
also how the fuck did she end with x3 your farm?
This was never about whether or not she one shot me, just that Foxfire DID do an assload of damage. Don't really care one way or the other, but someone tried to call me a liar on that front.
Xerath's damage is still irrelevant to my point, but at least his are skillshots that can be dodged.
I was support Xerath that game. Friend and I were experimenting with other mages paired with Ziggs in the bot lane.
You got hit by an ult bolt + ludens + thunderlords. Math does not lie.
You can clearly see thunderlord's not go off and unless we're counting the 1 ult shot and ludens as well over 1,000 dmg, the damage I claimed (and fucking saw in the recap, I still can't believe you're trying to argue it) is accurate. It was over 1k from Foxfire.
Thunderlords does proc, on the second w because ludens. Furthermore, that Ahri has a potion which adds true damage to spells.
First fox hit for 700, so the second parts with only 30% would push it over 1k. So yeah math does not lie.
With luden's it did 700...

Here are the actual in game numbers.
It did 700 including procs, which are not a part of fox fire's damage.
No there wasn't a bug, just looked really strange
Damage breakdown is as follows for your 2075 health
First fox-fire + ludens did 761
second fox-fire + thunderlords was 410
You got hit by the second part of her q for 453
The ult proc did 470
You got a couple procs of healing so its a little off but the w did its listed damage of
https://i.gyazo.com/e8a99d43d88ae09f4923a5f4c7cc4e22.png
Whoops forgot the last w which did 66 to finish you off as the protobelt was flying at you.
I did not get hit by the second part of her Q, you can clearly see it miss in the video. You're trying really hard not to admit that you were wrong.
Also, please keep your replies in one place, kinda annoying to have to reply to the same person in 3 different spots.
so you got more damage than what was listed?
are you high?
I'm confused.. what are you even trying to say here?
you took 800 damage from her W stop this pointless arguing
Yet another of your comments said it was 600 600 400, death recap says over 1k, THE FIRST ONE DOES OVER 700, etc.
Just shut up already, you're beyond annoying at this point.
you're the fucking annoying one, the first did 700 with luden, the second did 600 with thunderlord DEATH RECAP IS BULLSHIT IN 2017 PEOPLE STILL DIDN'T GET IT
I will give you it was a poor hit box, but yes when she dashes to the right, right before she tries to protobelt it clips you. I heard the noise the orb makes when it hits and checked the damage you took (since its true damage) and it did the exact hp her return q would've done.
It doesn't but there is no point continuing this conversation. Too many people ran their mouths before I had video evidence and now you're all trying your hardest to discredit the information. The fact stands that when I clicked my death recap it literally said FoxFire did over 1k. Say what you want, it happened, this video shows it happening, and I couldn't care less what your tiny minds want to believe anymore.
Peace.
You can clearly see yourself take damage before a w proc lands after her dash, that didn't pop up out of nowhere lol.
The death recap will throw a lot of stuff under 1 title if there is more than 3 sources of damage. I've had an irelia dash to me with deadman's, auto 1-2 times and the death recap say she did 600 true damage. That doesn't mean her w actually did that, it threw the deadmans and q proc under that category.
The same probably happened if it did say it did over 1k, it might've thrown the ludens proc in for example which would put it ~1k. Regardless the evidence is right in your video, the third w didn't even hit until you were basically dead. Even if a bug did exist you would've taken ~850-900 which the damage chunks do not support.
The first 2 procs taking out ludens and thunderlords account for ~600 damage so you see there is no way you magically took extra damage from a w after it hits you.
Ugh, this will be the last time I reply, I promise.
"First fox-fire + ludens did 761
second fox-fire + thunderlords was 410"
Your words.
That's it. That is all that matters. I don't fucking care HOW her W did 1,100 to me, I never have. Just that she pushed W while near me and I took over 1,000 dmg from it.
I had to kill her to save my nexus turrets, she ults in, misses charm, misses Q, pushes W, Foxfire does 1,100 dmg, thunderlord's and ignite do the rest.
Now considering you **specifically ** say thunderlords damage was seperate and didn't even mention a luden's was because you were pushing forward the w did over 1k itself. If you were including them the damage would've been higher than the ~1050 damage you put forward.
You should realize its ok to be wrong, when I first thought there was a bug I was willing to admit it and upvote your claims. Afterwards I obviously realized there was no bug, but no one would've cared if you just said "whoops I didn't notice the thunderlords, q hit, and ult proc because they are pretty hard to see" because those are all true. I surely didn't notice everything until I went frame by frame with your hp pulled up to watch it, but you didn't do that you wanted to be a dick to people and throw out false claims you were still right even after I did the damage breakdown.
http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Ahri There is no possible way ahris w can do 1k damage
