Bruiser itemization is terrible.

Frozen Mallet - being removed, even still, terrible build path. Way overpriced Wit's End - terrible build path, overpriced Atmas - name one brusier not named Garen who likes Crit Ghostblade - originally a bruiser item mostly, not many bruisers like crit + AS. Black Cleaver - more of an assassin item than anything, decent item. Hydra - overpowered as balls but it's legit the only melee/bruiser item that's good offensively. Hexdrinker/maw: not even worth upgrading the hexdrinker majority of the time Fighter itemization needs an overhaul. Crit is not something most fighters want to itemize, they typically want AD + durability, not random crit. Build paths need to be better, Wit's end is the example of an item that's only good on a few champions but I suspect it'd be a little more common if the build path wasn't complete shit.

I know there are new items being released this season, I hope it's a start on addressing poor fighter itemization. Because of now and the last 2 seasons, it's been terrible and there's been hardly any focus on it.

Just get full tank items and full damage items... They don't have to be put together...

I like this plan.

Let's replace the AP in all the AP/Defense items with HP and make all Mage items purely offensive. Tanks would like Hourglass if it were an HP/Armor item, right?

What are you talking about? I'm just saying get a zhonas hourglass and an omen instead of combining those items in a horrible item that no one will get

Grab a damage item or two then go full tank, it's how bruisers have always done it. Streamlining bruiser builds is probably the most reckless thing Riot could ever do. It would be a major buff to bruisers and would bring about a massive bruiser meta.

What would be a good bruiser item then? U say crit is not something most fighters want to itemize, they typically want AD + durability, but you say BLACK CLEAVER is not a good item? It does pretty much everything a bruiser wants, Life, damage, cdr and armor pen.

I didn't say black cleaver was a bad item, I said it's okay but it's mostly an assassin item.

Black leaver gives some flat HP and armor shred + CDR but it's one of how many bruiser itemization that does that. As far as bruisers going damage items, what damage items are there for their variety? Furthermore, why can't they have items that offer but durability and damage?

AD, and Bruisers in particular, get very little. And two of their options (AD/HP/Slow and AD/Crit/Armor) are going to be removed from the game come season 5. Why do Mages get amazing mixed offense/defense items and that's fine? Why is such itemization such a taboo for Bruisers?

Because people complain about something that does damage to squishies and can be generally hard to kill but don't seem to mind ranged mages bursting them, cc'ing them and winning teamfights with the press of 2-3 buttons. They don't seem to mind ADCs ripping you apart from 600+ range even with 400+ armor.

Bruisers are good, they go all defense people cry.

Bruisers like Jax are good, who goes all offense, people cry.

There's a double standard with bruisers and the communities perspective on bruisers yet they can not even be touched (buffed or nerfed) but a ranged mage class or ranged AD caster class comes along and completely eliminates them. People overreact and think we're going to return to the meta golem era but that will never happen again. Mobility is too high, support CC is too strong, CC in general is too strong. Bruisers can easily have good offense/defense combos without breaking the game. I'd honestly argue assassins are way worse at making the game unbalanced than bruisers are.

I build it on Darius, Gangplank, Garen, Hecarim, Irelia, Jax, Nasus, Olaf, Poppy, Renekton, Sion, Trundle, Udyr, Vi, Volibear, Wukong, Xin Zhao, Malphite, Rammus...

There are many builds to try out and many ways to play every champion, if some streamer says its a crap item its only his opinion, have your own...

Oh and if you auto attack you will like crit on your champ

You just listed damage items. Most toplaners build like one damage item.

Also, you forgot BotRK and Zephyr.
