l don't care about Ghostcrawler because i don't remember a change that was directed by him In fact, i remember EVERY single designer that led to me having a bad experience:

Xypherous, Fearless, Repertoir, and some others who did few things like recklessabandon

Do you really think that Ghostcrawler is behind everything that happened to league? responsible for xypherous failing the first ADC itemization rework? failing the AP itemization rework that is leading riot to a second one? responsible for fearless fucking up the jungle? repertoir fucking up the tank rework itemization? rengar's rework who's getting reverted? kog's rework that got partially reverted? malz's rework that got partially reverted?

i actually admire you ghostcrawler you can manage to stay calm in situations like this where people make you a living scapegoat for the mistakes of other people

I will always remember the time when a hard stuck silver jungler implemented an RNG Plant System gimmick into a competitive game.

EHHHH, they made it sound worse than it was. They made it sound like plants would just randomly appear in random locations and could suddenly turn a fight around; but really they're always in the same spots and it makes some junglers with worse terrain scaling (i.e. Udyr, Volibear, Yi, Shyvana) able to gank better.

Also it adds another element to your play (now bot lane the support should actively try and remove the blastcone to stop the jungler from taking any creative paths around vision for ganks).

I don't know, I think plants weren't needed but they aren't really that RNG.

Let's be honest with each other, Ghostcrawler i'm sure is extremely compensated for the "abuse" he has to take from these boards.

They have taken this game in a extreme 180 where almost every champ can snowball and just start popping kids like ballons left and right for the rest of the game.

Threads like "FIRE GHSTCRAWLER" will surely bring more positive change then threads like this.

I don't entirely think so, because what this thread addresses is an ongoing problem that causes Gameplay to lose credibility. Calls to fire Rioters are already not taken well, no matter how well-justified they may be in the eyes of the people making them, but on top of that Gameplay already is seen by some other players and Rioters as a place where people talk out of their ass about stuff they don't know. This kind of reputation I think is actually largely unjustified, and mostly used to gloss over valid, if pointed criticism, but stuff like "Ghostcrawler messed up this game's hitboxes", which I've seen unironically posted on this space, is bullshit, and anyone even vaguely aware of the game's timeline knows this. I think as a community here we need to personally take a hardline stance against bullshit or otherwise unsubstantiated posts like those, because those are exactly the kind of mistakes that cause the Boards as a whole to lose credibility, even if it's just one person making that claim and only a few others upvoting them.

u had 2 quit 2 congratz i had to quit 4 and its stupid that you would allow them to do this shit when on an instant they will buff certain champs with such stupid buffs while leaving the rest to eat the shit stains of those champs.

Because there's no counterplay to the CC and assassin faces nor damage that isn't avoidable at melee range.

That doesn't negate the cc, just makes them slightly harder to be clicked on.

no, those are options for them to outplay cc. Projectile cc can be dodged with movement abilities, and other forms of cc are dodgable by untargetability/invulnerability.

Essentially what that comment is implying is that the very identity of being an assassin is toxic to the game.

Which it is, but I don't know how that can be changed.

I'm fine with assassins killing people. I play assassin-y champs every now and then, and I play squishies assassins love to prey on. What I believe GC was saying in that quote was that burst without any possibility of denial is when it's bad. Think to times against a Rengar, where as soon as you saw the eyes above your head, you knew it was over. That's what's the problem. Champions that make it so that you can't do anything against them if they want to kill you, and the only way to survive that is to be somewhere else entirely (say, your own fountain)

Yes, but now you have the problem of them getting to you and not killing you in time because of their delayed burst comboes. Essentially, counterplay for assassins= really detrimental.

Also took a look over you and was disappointed to see that you have almost nothing related to gameplay to discuss and seem to be consistently using the boards to just interact with people negatively and disrespectfully. I agree he isn't solely responsible, but he is design lead and he is failing at his job of leadership. Yes the other members need to be held accountable for mistakes. BUT when your leadership is bad, it makes a team worse. A good leader can lead a bad team and do pretty ok. A good team with a bad leader isn't going to do well, just the same as a bad team with a bad leader isn't going to do well.

You start by chopping off the head. Replace it, then replace the body. I agree with you Rubrick, I just think GC needs to be axed and moved to a different part of the company. You can replace the peons if you want first, but it wont fix the issue until the leadership is replaced with someone that has a good vision and gives the base community what they want. GC is basing the game around LCS, its very apparent that is where he is taking it using his leadership role, yes he isn't the only one, but he is the lead designer. Whether its on orders or his own decision? Who knows. The fact remains, he needs to go and someone that is more capable at catering to the majority of the player base (non LCS, non pro, non super high elo) needs to take his place, then that said person can remove or reign in those below him.

GC: Melees don't take skill and are usually uninteractive wetnoodles slapping eachother. Always brings up mundo vs shyvanna fight in every one of his comments to make his argument. Also GC: Ranged take skill and are hella exciting and interactive.

Now you know what is wrong with ghostcrawler and why this game is so shit and has one uberOP class while the rest is shit. Same thing he did with WoW.

It's just a mob mentality complaining about nothing, while revealing their raw emotional disdain for the poor guy and making up the facts as they go.

Try to engage them and they write a narrative for you, then complain about it. Along the same lines as how everything is "SJW", when 9 times out of 10 the only ones bringing up the terms are those contesting it.

No rational thought present, thus the threads deserve to be deleted.

Can't say I like him, I started to be pissed about him having any sort of power or just being payed by the game company from the times when he liked "walks along the beach and nerfing Paladins". But I came to realize soon enough that he is just a facet of the issue with the general game developing approach of this generation of videogames (and probably the next).

I don't think we should be blaming anyone. We need to tell them what is wrong and hope they listen. They have a track history of not listening and doing whatever they want. All we can do is give them feedback and hope for the best. If you don't like the game don't support them. I haven't bought a skin in months and don't intend to until they fix the game and give Karma her VGU.
