Can we make it actually possible to miss a Lux E?

You want to dodge Lux E? Move towards Lux. Seriously. The landing point is set the moment she presses E; most Lux's will set the E slightly behind you so it will hit you if you try to move back away from it. So just move towards her.

Before you downvote compare radius of singularity with movespeed of typical mage. If Lux doesn't miss it, it often is impossible to dodge it with no boots.

try not standing in the middle of a minion wave

By the time you're at half health Lux is out of mana, and she's probably shoved the lane with that many e's, making her an easy gank. Also, you have potions.

Reliable? Yes, of course it is. Require a nerf? Hardly.

Yeah... no. It just doesn't actually work like that.

It 100% works like that. Lux can't one shot the caster wave unless she's absurdly fed, and she gets into trouble mid game if she gets into auto range. Most champions can just all-in her and back off if she tries to auto, forcing her to dump more mana on a shield.

^This.

Her E is not a very good poke tool until rank 3. If you're constantly spamming it (thanks to mana nerfs) you are going to run out of mana quicker. This only poses a problem when you're against a champ who has less mana costs, easier farmer, or is resourceless.

Take into account that Lux has to get into AA range to finish minions. So imagine that when laning against Leblanc lol.

So then only AFTER waiting all of 4 Minutes to be Level 3 does the E then become a weapon of mass unavoidable destruction?

:P

Haha. It's still a mana dump, but yes. The damage hits a lot better at this point. However, it doesn't take very much to set Lux behind. Which means she'll only be nuking careless carries or squishy supports who don't have their shields up.

She is bad when she gets ahead, though. It DOES take a lot less coordination to kill her than, say, Jax or Fiora though.

You know there are other phases of the game outside laning. That said I dissagree with Ops proposition. I have fumbled with her a bit recently and if I had to 'fix' something that would be the hit box of her root. And quite propably of the ult. I swear I killed people that the lazor was not even touching.

ive 100% been killed by lux lasers that werent touching me. ones i was so sure i was outside width i had flash and didnt use it and died

Fixing Lux's laser's ult hitbox would be a buffnerf, as it currently looks like this: <><><><><><><><> when it should look like this: ================. Sometimes it hits stuff it shouldn't, sometimes it misses stuff that it's directly touching.

As much as I'm for lux nerfs, I'm actually pretty over the lux E instant detonation. The farther away you are, the more time you have to get out of the area. Point blank you're gonna eat it every time, but if you play back you've got plenty of time to react.

The things that should be hit on Lux are her absurd safety. Mejai's, the supposed high-risk, high-reward item, is recommended on her just because she never dies. Zilean and Anivia are the only two mid-laners with comparable amounts of not-dying, and they've both got revives.

I really think it's time we fix her wonky ult hit box. It can't be that hard to do.

When are Lux nerfs?

stealthfox942 votes

it use to be easy to dodge they made it impossible to dodge now.

Renascent1 votes

Lux tends to max E first right? A reasonable nerf could be reducing her E radius at lvl 1 to about 80% of what it is now and scale it back to 100% at lvl 5.

TheFameAnimal1 votes

Most Lux players cast e behind the opposing champion, so that they retreat to avoid it and end up walking into it. So just move forward a little and you'll be ok.

WhiskerWow1 votes

It's a little weird, but the way you dodge Lux's e is by moving forward. They usually over-compensate the range because most people retreat when it comes towards them.

The Deckowner1 votes

the only way u can dodge a lux e is to move toward lux because thevlux players tend to pyt it behind u.
