Anyone else replacing mana pots with faerie charms?

it only cost 125g(2.5 mana pots if they still existed), and they can be sold back to shop for 88 gold.

Sometimes I buy 2-3 of these, or even a forbidden idol/tear, just to get most of my money back selling them later game when I dont need the early mana sustain.

tbh this seems more efficient than spending hundreds of gold on mana pots would be anyway.

p.s. Obviously for champs that don't scale with dorans ring

I build a whole charm bracelet every match.

Double dorans seems to do very good too. This has always been an option, but now it can outright replace a full on mana item untill you you got your item slots filled. It also boosts you stats a bit, more hp and more ap. And then late game you sell it for athenes or morellos.

Or you go the FQC route.

I just want to thank the creator of this post for changing my life. I just finished reading this post when I got stuck with veigar mid. I flashed back the post and bought 3 faerie charms and 2 pots and started lane.....holy....shit. It synergises so well with his poor mana start and keeps him healthy in lane. It also builds into Athene's and morellos and with my masteries that gives me exactly 45% cdr. Needless to say I gunned veigar mid for the next 9 games. I only lost one of those games.

Thank you op,

you have changed my game experience

Actually i find myself doing this on some mana hungry supports and it seems like a decent choice

I generally buy faerie charms when I'm completing another regen item, just for that extra boost. the cost is very much worth it.
