Yasuo

So someone said he has a bad early game so I tried to bully him hard with Azir. He killed me at level 2 by turret diving me and again at level 6 and the only way I was able to kill him was to exhaust him under the tower next time he tried to dive me. All you people out there wanna know how to fight yasuo? Get exhaust and wait for him to turret dive you because there isn't any other way.

"with Azir"

There's your problem. You're playing a gutter trash champion that's one of the worst picks in the game right now against a decently strong champion.

Azir is quite strong, but his early game has been crippled.

That being said, you should still be able to bully Yas if you properly watch your own positioning. You don't die level two to Yasuo unless you blatantly disrespect his dueling potential and misplay/position incorrectly.

Azir does mean things to melee's when played properly.

Ok? Your point?

Azir is insane when played properly and to the best effort. He can single handedly destroy teamfights with just a Nashors and Rylais, while being safe might I add, especially with a good front line.

Yes his winrate is low, but he's still quite powerful, it just takes a master of their craft to bring out that power.

He's for the dedicated, just look at his mains, many of them sport very high win rates.

Yes because a champion that is literally unplayable garbage for over 99% of the gaming playerbase and god-tier for the other sub-1% is totally great. Pretty much the only ones that do well on him are his mains, like you said, and of those, the Master and Challenger ranked players. T here's very few Diamond, let alone Platinum players that do well on him.

I hate to say, but for a champ like him that's probably a good thing. Its kind of the same with Riven, loathe as I am to admit. If you buff them too much they will become monsters.

I mean, it took tons of nerfs, nerfs after nerfs, to even bring Azir down from being a top tier pick in pretty much every game and composition. That should say something.

Fair enough. Champions like him can't ever be balanced across both worlds.

Its the unfortunate truth.

Buff him for lower elo and he suddenly becomes a rampaging monster in high elo/pro play.

So you're telling me, he turret dove you, as azir, at level 2, and you had exhaust, and you still didn't kill him?

ACHOO

Srry, I'm just allergic to bullshit

The only time I killed him was when he turret dove me and I had exhaust. When I didn't have it, that's when his turret diving worked.

How exactly was he able to turret dive you? You can

W-e W-e-q And ult him away

And you can farm from like 800+ range (don't quote me on that)

E is stopped when it runs into an enemy champion which almost always happens when a melee champion is on you, If I would have backed away and then used it he can just dash to be mid spell which wouldn't even matter in the first place because I'd be dead by them. Ult has a cooldown which is enough time to go back to base and heal and then tower dive me again.

It's not like he teleports to you. You have ample time to see him coming and dash out.

The fact you couldn't wasn't because yasuo was strong, it's just that you weren't mechanically skilled enough to get out

EndlessSorcerer1 votes

Yasuo's early-game is weak but he is strong at levels 1 and 2.

You should wait a few levels until your abilities deal damage more efficiently, harass him down with W-Q-AA-AA-Thunderlords and focus on farming for your items.

You misplayed the match-up, but you should know better the next time it occurs.

Azir is actually known to counter yasuo. I mained azir for a long time and I am now a yasuo main. Yasuo has to play it much better than you to win trades and at level 6 he shouldn't be able to kill you because of your ult. You basically dont fight him lvl 1 and watch where you place your soldier because if it is away from you he is free to dash on you and deal damage and then at level 2 begin poking but from range so he cant retaliate. Azir has been nerfed quite hard so he isn't as strong during lane as he used to be. However against melee champs just poke them out of lane. Almost all melee champs will do more damage than you if they are in your face. That's why you dont let them get there.

Im a silver(fuck Im bad) level 7 yasuo main, uhhh there are a lot of counterplay to yasuo, but picking azir is a bad idea especially after w+q for harass because he can dash on to you, maybe try syndra and push him away or fizz who has no counterplay

I main syndra also, just windwalls my stun and ult and fizz has a ton of counterplay. Yasuo has less counterplay and more room for outplay than any other champ because of his windwall and dash which makes him mobile and have tons of defense while any other mage relies on a projectile cc to do their damage. He's more of a mage counter than Kassadin tbh, just easier to permaban him because anyone with half of a brain will just penta the enemy team.

BrianHung0001 votes

I agree, but yasuo is not a no brain champion, a single cc can fk up a yasuo, especially for players like me who plays yasuo the orginal way building near full dmg

Yea that's why he has his windwall and mobility that makes dodging and blocking skillshot cc insanely easy for him.

how about champions like pantheon, he counters yasuo a lot with his passive and he has a point and click stun, or lissandra for obvious reason, they are champions who have point and click cc's and can't be dodged or windwalled

Yea, you have to counterpick to beat him. Can't beat one with the around the same skill level as you without counterpicking as long as you aren't master/challenger.
