Is it just me or i find the game ultra shit to play ? aram/normals/ranked/gamemode ? Honestly since a lot of my friends stopped playing,i stopped as well,it was the best thing to do.

https://twitter.com/Nightbloo/status/976151456574304256?s=19 Left this here check it out :D

I also encourage each and everyone of you that feel like shit everytime they play the game to just quit. You make the game worst for your team because you are not physiologically ok and you may flame them too,and thats what gets you banned. Also youre doing yourself only bad by keep playing. Youll feel so fucking nice after a week. Not playing the game is like a chemotherapy, only free.

Also i would really like to see your "statistics" on how many players left the last 3-4 months compared to the previous year, like you did for the extremely evil shitty gamemode that no one likes (URF)

Go ahead,im waiting, you wont ;) probably gonna just delete this for violating some rule or some shit.

Im also seeing the amount of complaints since the beginning of the preseason, really sad that no one talks about them.

Keep on nerfing irrelevant champs cause lets face it ryze had shit to do with the game,he already had a shitty **winrate **and playrate, but riot had to **nerf **him because he was too dominant on the LC$,guess what,WE DO NOT FUCKING CARE ABOUT LCS.

Also keep on buffing irrelevant champions as well because they are too "weak" guess what, they are not weak,YI is not weak,HE IS FUCKING BORING.HE IS STRONG AS FUCK,NO ONE IS PLAYING BECAUSE HE IS BORING

"No one is playing annie,guess we'll buff,NO." "X is strong on the LC$,GUESS WE'LL NERF,FUCKING NO."

"Look we are riot,we listen to you guys,we fixed jaxs E!" (AFTER MANY FKING YEARS AND THOUSANDS OF VIEWS ON THE YOUTUBE VIDEO AND AFTER SO MANY PEOPLE STARTED THROWING SHIT AT US)

Give me a fucking break, im 100% wrong, right aram only players (you play for fun most of the time and you dont really care about the balance, which is a good thing,so you dont complain ) and diamond + players (you gave your life to this game and spent so much time with it and youll always say that it is such a good game since youre a meta slave and probably only play League)

Have fun everybody.

If you were to ask me, the next-in-line streamers who would quit are QT, Voyboy and Dyrus. Pretty sure they're gonna get burnt out from League at some point.

SephAgro7 votes

QT makes way too much money to quit. He voices very tame opinions on the game's state compared to other streamers who shit all over it, for good reason of course.

HaIlMonitor3 votes

QT is part of the strong lane though. It has mostly been top and junglers that quit.

Have fun everybody.

So you start by saying that the game is bad, and then exclude certain people from the conversation because they might have good counterpoints that you absolutely don't want to listen to?

I'm a Diamond+ player. I have fun with League. That doesn't mean it's the ONLY game I play. I love games like RuneScape, MMORPGs, shooters (including Fortnite and PUBG), and mobile games. Hell, we had an arcade at my school recently and I went in and took all the high scores.

The reason I still love the game is because I have a deeper understanding and appreciation for the game. I have multiple champions that I play (both meta and nonmeta) that I thoroughly enjoy. Of course I get upset when my champions are bad (Viktor, for example), but I play enough things that I can move on and play other champions until they're playable again and if for some reason they're not, I can find other things I enjoy, whether that means putting more time into PUBG or finding a new champion to play.

The reason you don't appreciate the game is because you have a surface value, shallow understanding of the game. It makes you believe things like

Also keep on buffing irrelevant champions as well because they are too "weak" guess what, they are not weak,YI is not weak,HE IS FUCKING BORING.HE IS >STRONG AS FUCK,NO ONE IS PLAYING BECAUSE HE IS BORING

Yi is strong when really he's an embarrassment of a champion in 90% of scenarios. Or that Ryze didn't deserve nerfs

when he was the strongest midlaner in the game after the Tear changes. He was terrorizing Diamond elo because there wasn't a damn thing you could do to deal with him. He scaled up way too quickly and got too tanky for any midlaner to really do anything against him. You'd know this if you played in Plat+

Also, I've been playing for 5 years now. This amount of complaining has been going on since I got on the General Discussion forums back then.

Now, I have a question for you, since you think that the game should cater to the low elo playerbase. Should it really be catered to players like you when you've proven that you're fickle, angry, inflexible, flighty (quitting simply because the game doesn't have the same vision you have for the game, as opposed to quitting because you don't enjoy it), and don't understand the game? Or should it be catered to a more dedicated base that enjoys the game at all levels and has a good understanding of it?

By nature of the game it has to cater to one group. If a champion is only strong in high elo, and you don't nerf it, you're catering to low elo. If a champion is garbage in low elo but they're oppressive in high and you nerf it, you're catering to high elo.

I'd rather the game be catered to players that deeply care about having fun within it than players who only play the game for its competitive nature and to boast about their in game rank. Although in saying that I'd personally like the game to be catered to the casual playerbase who just wants to have fun playing the game and only care about winning.

Sure, he's emotional, but that goes to show that he cares about the game.

You sound like you enjoy the game and yet you'll willingly put down other players when they vent their opinions. Honestly you're just as fickle, angry, inflexible and flighty as the OP is.

Btw, player of 8 years here. For reference most of the players who do complain on the boards only really started to complain once the game went downhill at ~the introduction of Cinderhulk. There's a reason why the boards were not that active back in seasons 1-4, the game was genuinely fun for most players.

While the OP is certainly rather vulgar and overly obvious in his points he does have some good insight if you look past the cussing. League right now is not being treated as well as it was when the developers needed its success to put food on their plates. There's no real love being put into this game now as much as there is an excess amount of content implemented purely for commercial gain. Skins themselves aren't actually worth 1350RP. In reality your standard 1350RP skin should be 975RP, however Riot changed the price tag because they saw how far players would reach into their wallets for this game.

League in general is being abused by its developers. You can tell this by their primary focus of balancing being directed at the LCS and not towards the actual playerbase of the game. Additionally Riot has seemingly forgot about what made the game initially fun being the insane amount of variety within the game. They constantly remove items, rework old champions and remove features that many players would have found fun; e.g. removing the Crystal Scar map in custom games which had a very active playerbase. Also they tend to change the meta in ways that are simply anti-fun such as what we have now being the ADC overlord meta where peel is at an all time high and solo lanes as a whole are only significant when they interact with bot lane.

However, the actual art designers and whatnot are still top of the line and their quality is above average, so I certainly won't say that the overall content quality is bad. What I WILL say is that the overall content quality is overpriced and the concepts are bland (wow, we really wanted another set of weeaboo skins).

As for the overall fun of the game it's simply not there. The game is purely about winning unless you get together with a group of 9 other friends and play some custom games with off-meta builds+champs. Additionally there's only ONE universal gamemode. Why the rotating gamemodes aren't just permanent we will never actually know (don't bring up that Riot URF post it's completely false).

Now, back to your post Ahri Lover Rock, or moreso back to just you. Work on that ego of yours. Maybe once you do you'll be able to have fun again? Who knows.

Catering to the players "That just want to have fun" will not make a competitive game. Next thing you know they're going to be buffing m249 in counter strike to be stronger than the ak/m4 because I just want to have fun and spray ze booolets!

Give it a rest. People in diamond know more than you do, know how to exploit the champion's strength and the reason why the balance should be around their level of play and up. You should strive to be able to master a champion. There are people who can't even frag with OP heroes, that doesn't mean that the OP hero does not deserve a nerf.

But I used to be D2 :O You rude dude.

I definitely agree that more players should strive to master a champion. As a Kat main this resonates with me rather deeply.

Alright, if the game shouldn't be directly to the casual playerbase could the game at least get another queue specifically for players who want to enjoy the game. If that doesn't work out League should finally implement customisable custom games settings. That would be amazing.

Let's look at this piece by piece.

Sure, he's emotional, but that goes to show that he cares about the game.

That's great but if you come across as belligerent and throwing buzzwords or pointing out bad evidence, you're not gonna be taken seriously by anyone except the people who side with him, who are mostly swayed by confirmation bias.

You sound like you enjoy the game and yet you'll willingly put down other players when they vent their opinions. Honestly you're just as fickle, angry, inflexible and flighty as the OP is.

Not sure you even know what most of those mean. Moving on.

There's a reason why the boards were not that active back in seasons 1-4, the game was genuinely fun for most players.

Boards wasn't active back then since boards literally started around the end of season 4. General Discussion spent just as much time complaining though. It was just buried under mounds and mounds of shitposts and people trying to get specific threads to page 2 to post hentai (I'm dead serious this was a thing) so the complaining was balanced out.

There's also the matter of what i call the "RuneScape effect". As people become more efficient and less worried about fun, that might take a toll on casual players who have a more shallow enjoyment of the game and suddenly find the only champion they play nerfed with no clear context for them. If that's the case, you can't really blame Riot for that since that's 100% the doing of the players who intend to minmax the game.

While the OP is certainly rather vulgar and overly obvious in his points he does have some good insight if you look past the cussing.

What points? He started spouting shit without providing actual evidence, and then discounting people because they don't see the game the same way he does.

He called a game mode evil for fuck's sake.

Hasn't that always been the case?

Additionally there's only ONE universal gamemode. Why the rotating gamemodes aren't just permanent we will never actually know (don't bring up that Riot URF post it's completely false).

Have you seen what happens when they're kept on? It's like URF when that was on for weeks and people bitched that it should be balanced because a meta was developed.

You have a lot of semi-valid points such as too much emphasis on botlane or skin prices but they're covered up by buzzword phrases such as anti-fun and what parts of a bad argument you chose to defend. Last but not least there's this little bit right here.

Now, back to your post Ahri Lover Rock, or moreso back to just you. Work on that ego of yours. Maybe once you do you'll be able to have fun again? Who knows.

You insult me for my ego and tell me that if I get more humble I'll have more fun. But here's the thing.

1 - I already said I have fun playing the game.

2 - you literally said the game isn't fun anymore

As for the overall fun of the game it's simply not there.

But I guess your whole argument is a reflection of your enjoyment of League. You don't enjoy it because you don't know what you're doing.

2 - you literally said the game isn't fun anymore

But I guess your whole argument is a reflection of your enjoyment of League. You don't enjoy it because you don't know what you're doing.

I'm just going to respond to the one thing that really made me scowl at my screen:

But I guess your whole argument is a reflection of your enjoyment of League. You don't enjoy it because you don't know what you're doing.

I know what I am doing wholeheartedly, it's simply the fact that I do not want to play in the way the meta demands. I do not want to play extremely passive in lane and then win the game via bot lane. I do not want to have to rely on ONE member of my team being the ADC. I do not want to have to play champions that are conceptually boring.

Additionally, you say that I don't know what I am doing, and yet.....I can state that I can play most champions in this game to at least a low diamond level (exception to Nami and most supports; I just don't like them) and the champions I specialise in I do think I could easily make it to the top of my server if I chose to conform to the meta in my playstyle. Sure, you can say everyone says this, but I've been playing the game long enough to know my limits.

Now, back to the matter at hand. I don't enjoy the game because the game as a whole doesn't reward "fun" playstyles, it rewards playstyles that are purely just used for winning. In this case it's completely devoting your time in game to bot lane whenever possible since the state of ADCs is currently quite unfair.

My whole argument isn't just about me, it's moreso about Riot's poor decision-making skills as they shifted the primary focus of this video GAME (keyword, game, game = fun [usually]).

If that's the case, you can't really blame Riot for that since that's 100% the doing of the players who intend to minmax the game.

I can't argue against any of this because I know all of this is rather true. However I do have one comment, I think that players intending to minmax the game were strongly encouraged by Riot's forcefulness in creating metas.

You insult me for my ego and tell me that if I get more humble I'll have more fun. But here's the thing. 1 - I already said I have fun playing the game. 2 - you literally said the game isn't fun anymore

I "insulted" your ego because you seemed to have this idea in your head that you were superior to a fellow player in every single way, which is a poor way of thinking and arguing. Moreover I don't think I actually insulted you, I just said you should work on it; it's friendly advice.

I don't think I was at all trying to utilise "buzzword phrases" in my reply, I was simply stating facts. There's a reason why League is losing so many players right now and let me tell you it's not just because they're bored of the game. Players who quit nowadays usually don't want to quit because League is quite precious to them since that's what they spent years playing. But these players quit due to the fact that the game they once knew is almost completely gone.

In regards to URF I can agree that people complained, but let's be real, there was more praise towards it than negativity (despite what the OP tried to say).

Not sure you even know what most of those mean. Moving on.

Ah I see, we have an intellectual in our midst. I do indeed know what those words mean. There's a reason why I scored 96% on my extension english paper back in college. I'm not stupid, albeit I will say that I can be stubborn in my views sometimes.

Although since you've now tried to insult my intelligence it's only fair I send an insult back your way, you're arrogant. Please just learn that people who a lot more intelligent than you give them credit for.

What points? He started spouting shit without providing actual evidence, and then discounting people because they don't see the game the same way he does. He called a game mode evil for fuck's sake.

And he is allowed to do that on these boards. Critisise him all you want, but he still has the right to post w/e he wants on this platform.

That's great but if you come across as belligerent and throwing buzzwords or pointing out bad evidence, you're not gonna be taken seriously by anyone except the people who side with him, who are mostly swayed by confirmation bias.

I mean....this post has 9 upvotes atm. While I do agree his post is flawed in many ways I also believe one is open to express their opinions in w/e way they like on here, provided it follows the terms of service.

With all that said I personally think we're wasting our time with this post. By all means critisise him as much as you like, just try to avoid being hostile towards him.

Wow maybe Riot will actually listen to us now...

Dyrus and NB3 are both essentially quitting League with maybe occasional streams.

We've been trying to tell Riot Games for months to fix the massive power creep problems going on in the game and have gotten changes that go in a completely different direction.

I used to play this game all the time, but seasons 7 and 8 have completely ruined my love for the game and I find myself rarely if ever playing it. Just a terrible feeling to fall out of love with a game that gave you such good times because the balance team made terrible choices.

I too have been playing since preseason 1 and I've had plenty of breaks as well as ups and downs. It's still fun and there are times it's aggravating but at the end of the day I know it's just a game. Unlike a lot of players who take this to the utmost extremes when they begin to get salty.

I will say I am finding more fun playing other new games as opposed to league. Mainly because solo queue is such a hassle when it comes to ranked. Ranked matchmaking is so botched and toxic players run amok. But that is the tendency of PvP games, a lot of players just want to spit all over the their screen when in reality it doesn't do squat to influence the game.

I agree. A lot of people make it sound like leaving the game is a huge life decision. I haven’t played overwatch or world of tanks in a while. I don’t hate anything about the games, I just wanted to do other things. It’s no big deal. People watch streamers for their personalities anyway, not always the games they play. I know bricky can be just as enjoyable in rainbow six as he is while playing Kled.

Used to play all day without getting bored, since this season I only log-in to do my first victory of the day and leave (which doesn't even make sense because I already have a huge amount of BE, and I can't do anything with it).

(If you want to check for yourself https://wol.gg/ )

I'm an ARAM only player, and I don't even find this game mode funny. It's either a complete stomp, or getting completely stomped, making you tilted to death because you just can't come back. Shields still being unbalanced and being a big problem here, same champions broken for years, same issues adressed that haven't been solved (item 3083 Soraka / Sona / ARAM only accounts), and instead of solving these issues, adding even more issues to the game (aka marksmen being completely broken and allowed to be like this). You can check my match history, I barely ever play anymore, only browsing the forums, and yes I'm thinking about quitting the game too.

Yeah Neace quit the game too. So far season 8 sucks the games are so onesided and stompfests that i dont enjoy them muhc anymore either.

am I the only one who plays the game for the champs and not actually winning? I could care less how powerful certain champions, metas, and items are. I'm just here to play with my friends and have fun. why can't people do the same?

Purejoyce3 votes

wow guys, people that played the same game for 8 years got bored of it?! NO WAY! :O

I've played since the end of s1 and had few breaks too, because you clearly can't play same sh%t for so long.

Because you can clearly not have fun for like 10+ years with a game right?

Yea yea, remember when Dunkey left couple years ago and it was the "end of the game".

He played this game for 8 years, it's natural he got bored eventually, even i like the game but sometimes take long breaks because i like to play other stuff.

IMO pro play should be balanced COMPLETELY different than bronze-master tier play. Once you reach challenger/sign with a professional team, you should have access to special servers with different balancing changes based on pro play.

MysteriousBootie2 votes

same thing happened with starcraft 2. It always starts with the popular people jumpin ship early on, before you know it the most famous pro players will be like "k fuck this" and move on to w/e the next big esports craze is

If Riot was smart, they would devote more time to alternative game modes. Right now, there is nothing to fall back on when you grow tired of SR and just want to mess around and be creative. 3v3 is a more binary, broken version of SR and ARAM has its own issues. Neither of these maps promote creativity or diversity.

There need to be more permanent maps, at least in customs if nothing else. For example, there is currently no permanent Crystal Scar map, despite the fact that they play entirely different from SR and pretty much any champion can be played on them to some success (with no stagnant meta or snowballing). Why?

Is it just me or i find the game ultra shit to play ? aram/normals/ranked/gamemode ?

You are alone.

I also encourage each and everyone of you that feel like shit everytime they play the game to just quit. You make the game worst for your team because you are not physiologically ok and you may flame them too,and thats what gets you banned. Also youre doing yourself only bad by keep playing.

You got banned. [Or worse : you are fishing for viewers]

Youll feel so fucking nice after a week.

The reason why you are here. [Or worse: you are fishing for viewers]

Also i would really like to see your "statistics" on how many players left the last 3-4 months compared to the previous year, like you did for the extremely evil shitty gamemode that no one likes (URF)

Here a comparison 10/2017 to 2/2018 shares via Korean internet café´s (as they are tracked) :

10/2017 : 23,62% 2/2018 : 23,23%

In same time PUBG´s share rose from 24,28% to 38,52%. So League was not really affected by this rocket as for example Overwatch wich dropped from 13,73% to 8,60% within these 4 months. And Overwatch was the one before wich was called "the end of League".

Have fun everybody.

U2 - whereever.
