I AM DEFENDING DYNAMIC QUE

Skorch··9 votes·471 views

People complain about dynamic queue as premades "ruin the experience of ranked" because they have better teamwork. No premades don't, and if they do thats not from them being a premade, its from your team not communicating. It is possible to join calls with your randoms or just be vocal in chat. League of Legends is a team game, if you and a group of friends play as a team you should be able to. Ranked doesn't measure how good you are at carrying, it measures how good you work in a team, and if someone isn't communicating well, you have to compensate. The only problem i see with dynamic que is the queue times which are indeed HORRENDOUS. Feel free to downvote me into the abyss.

I believe that Riot is telling the truth when they say DQ has reduced toxicity and improved rank participation and they have taken the presence of premades into account when treating their statistics.

Your anecdotal evidence holds no weight when compared to the amount of data Riot has available.

Also it was silly to try to give an individual rank in a team game anyway and people constantly complained about it.

Feel free to downvote me into oblivion

I am a fill/support main what are queue times?

What elo? I'm playing a lot more adc lately and could use a support duo. I'm gold 4/3 add me if you're similar.

Ha sorry I am not on NA... and if my Old smurf is still around I'd have about 250 ping all game, like I did back before OCE existed.

If premades didnt have better teamwork then why did riot prevent 5 man parties at the top of the ladder?

If premades dont have better team work i should be able to pull the top 5 players from challenger and wthout them having any prior synergy or practice they should be able to win lcs.

Of course organized teams have better teamwork than normal players. Nobody is contesting that. In normal (lower MMR) games, this is adjusted for and you're placed against slightly stronger opponents. At the highest ends of the spectrum, however, the margins of error are so large that adjusting for larger stacks becomes impossible.

For example, if you're in Bronze with an MMR of 100, the system will try to get you matched with people between 90 and 110; if you're a 5-person group, it might try 140-160. This isn't a problem, since there are a lot of people at both of those levels. If you're at 1500 MMR, though, in order to keep your queue times measured in minutes, the net is cast wider; say, 1250 to 1750. At that level, the relative change of 50 (or even a larger adjustment) has very little impact; although it'll average out on the extreme long scale, it completely fails to adjust for any particular game.

Umm... they dropped 5 Man in High Elo because it screwed with Match Making.

You know, like when an entire Pro Team logs on and Queues together... really hard to match that MMR. Had nothing to do with 'better team work' and had everything to do with Match Making.

Also, no one said Team Work doesn't matter. But simply Queueing together doesn't ensure they will actually WORK AS A TEAM.

It's not magic. They still have to effectively Communicate (same as Solos). The real Advantage that Pre Made Groups have is OVER TIME, and that only applies to Dedicated Groups that stick together instead of those of us that hop from Group to Group as invited. Because those Dedicated Groups DO get more games in together to learn each other, so that does become an Advantage. But it doesn't just happen magically, they have to work for that advantage over time.

People act like every fraking Pre Made is Immortals logging on together. That's not the case. You can suck just as badly in a Pre Made as you can as a Solo.

Being in a Pre Made doesn't magically improve your Skill Level. You group 5 guys together with No Map Awareness, No Last Hit Skill, No Communication (despite being on Curse or Team Speak)... they are going to be one lousy ass Pre Made.

Pre Made only has advantages if they choose to execute them... but the kicker is, Solo can do the exact same thing! Communicate, work together!

But i thought you said premades dont get an advantage. So you can just grab 5 people of similar ranks and match them agaibst TSM and be fine

So you think every Pre Made plays together 16 Hours a Day like Pro Teams?

Yeah, you take a group of people and invest time, OVER TIME you have an Advantage. Never denied that.

Now show me those 16 Hour a Day Pre Made Groups.

Oh... it's the Pro Teams, when they Log for Ranked. That's right.

So you attribute things to Pre Made Groups that are only true in the greatest of extremes... Professional Players.

The average Pre Made... isn't that. You act like they are all Immortals... unless of course you are the one grouped with a Pre Made, then they are all brain dead mouth breathers.

So when we say a Pre Made, we don't assume guys that have practiced together for months to get the REAL Advantages the choosing who you Queue with gives.

Your analogy is broken, wrong and rather idiotic. Because you don'[t have a real counter so you try to pull some dumb analogy that doesn't work out.

So your sayibg premades do get an advantage? Theres nothing to stop a premade playing 16 hours a day. If thats your argument for the difference then its a silly one

They complain because the rankings become meaningless.

"They have better Team Work".

You know the counter to that? Working as a Team.

Which is the entire idea.

League was never meant to be 5 1v1's Solo Yolo Cowboy. It's always been a Team Game.

The most effective way to play League is as a Team, working together to achieve a Goal.

Your impact on a Team Dynamic is the real measure of 'Skill'.

4 and 5 man premades match up with other 4 and 5 man premades 96-98% of the time. That mean 1/30 games you have an unbalanced queue. get over it.

Dynamic queue is only terrible if you are D1 - Challenger where your queue times are upwards of 30 minutes and you get matched up against CLG with random scrub a dubs on your side.

1: why would i give my information to someone i never met, and why would someone who has never met me give me their information to join a voice chat

2: you cant even tell people are premade until the game is loading up which means you would have to waste in game time to set this all up to counter premades

3: premades do ruin the ranked system, because they end up carrying someone who is awful to a place they dont belong in

4 premade teams tend to ruin ranked for solo players by flaming them to no end.
