Can we get rid of the Generalist that is Jayce?

After lethality buffs especially; Jayce over the past few months has just been getting stronger and stronger in every aspect of his kit. -More poke -Burst -Better Early/Mid/Late -Overall stronger

I don't mind Jayces ridiculous damage, but when you combine that with one of the best lane phase, poke and scaling in the game. It becomes a bit atrocious to play against. What makes it even harder is that he isn't feast or famine, he will come back no matter what even if he feeds his ass off.

Could we tone down his upfront burst or increase his mana costs? He either needs to have significantly less poke or have less burst, because having both of them on a champion like Jayce is incredibly broken. (Since he's ranged and Melee; Doesn't get punished enough for mistakes because of low mana costs/cds)
