She heals herself when using her Q, just build ROA on her to keep your mana bar up and you'll be fine..

You are misunderstanding why speaks and mordekaiser were considered unhealthy in solo lanes by riot and why they were changed. If you have never lanes against pre rework speaks consider yourself lucky because it was awful. With health and mana restoration to herself, she never left lane and her star call was like sonas auto target q except less damage, aoe, and with a much lower cooldown. If you had no way to outright kill her she could perma push you into tower and still get off free harass. The rework took that healing and moved it solely to a duo lane, with the price of her own health.

Mordekaiser had a problem because he was the games only no cc, no mobility champion. They had to compensate him for this with ridiculous damage and his shield, which made him a perma pusher who would happily 1v2 you and your jungler early game of his shield was built up. A support can give him the move speed buffs and cc he craves, so they saw the opportunity to make the first successful melee duo laner. They may have faile but the logic was solid.

As for corki and the rest, they share the traits of lanes they go in. Corki does mostly magic damage and scales best with levels, graves is short range, tanks, and can hold is own is a solo lane. These champions may be unbalanced, but their existence is the solo lanes or jungle is not some game breaking thing.
