Can anyone at riot explain why Arcane blade was removed? Can we get it back?

I know thunder lord was added and does more damage. I know we have rageblade that can add an extra 7% onhit.

But here's the thing...... Arcane blade was good on ap on hit builds such as Diana, Teemo, Kayle, WW, Akali, even the new Kogmo would love it. It did not add a lot of damage but when combined with sated devourer, it got better.

The point is, you got free damage that could multiply with on hit/attackspeed/ablities such as WW ult without having to buy an additional item.

Now if I want a similar effect, I would have to get item 3115 and item 3124 .

So why was it removed? Did we get sufficient compensation for it? If so, how were we compensated?

Fervor of Battle would be the closest match, and there were a few adjustments (the increased AP ratio on damage versus turrets, for example, and Guinsoo's, as you mentioned), but ultimately there was no direct innate compensation in terms of added on-hit damage and such. I think there are two options for this: if what's needed is the buff to last-hitting and early auto harass that it provided (beyond Thunderlord's), then perhaps AP champions could receive an extra 3 starting base AD and some growth (it doesn't have to be too strong, since spells take over for waveclear and harass fairly quickly). If we're missing on-hit damage for AP autoattackers, then the best course of action should likely be to move the lost 5% AP ratio onto Nashor's for a 20% AP total ratio.
