Ranked should not give BE or Levels Advancement

It's become obvious to me that if there's no difference between Normals and Ranked except you don't climb in Normals, then there isn't a real incentive to play normals.

in short, I'd love it if people in Ranked were only there to climb and not for anything else.

There is an incentive to play normals.

, to not try hard and practice new things without affecting your (or other's) elo.

This argument assumes people care about others.

The downvotes here are greedy people who just want their LP and BE combined. The downvotes prove my point.

The downvotes are because your point isn't valid. Honestly I wouldn't bother with ranked at all after 10 placements if I knew gains in ranked were limited to just the elo, just wouldn't make me care much. A lot of players exclusively play ranked because they can or want to climb or try to improve themselves.

If you win in a game where everybody is trying their best or you carried a team that wasn't trying at all, it would feel pretty shitty to only progress in 20% progress towards the next tier only to lose 25% next time and gimping your level progress since you spent the time in ranked rather then norms.

Your feelings aren't more important than the health of the game

This I agree with.

, to not try hard

This makes me wonder why you aren't playing bots.

And even then, people will get angry at you for giving them a couple of bot losses.

In bot's case, you don't earn mastery score and the gain in XP (and if this was old days, IP) is gimped, so you're mainly playing bots either to have a quick match, get FWOTD bonus, or learn the game without the pressure of teammates flaming what you're unaware of (basically an environment for new players).

Norms is PvP so you can still try new things or learn them, but you'll still get progression out of doing the game where as bots you won't as much.

Ranked is where you do what you're confident in to win and try to prove you're the best. which sadly has been declining as a reason to play ranked and more of "play it like norms but if you do win you'll climb

Either way, you still haven't hit the win/lose point to support you. Actually, you made your point even worse.

What win/lose point?

Did you edit that in as I was replying?

I don't think players really care at all about win or lose in bots (like 1 in a 1000 losses? You can pretty much 1v9 or build accordingly to) but again, there's very little to no gain at all in bots. Winning bots I don't think even gives the same XP you'd earn in a lost norms, so if you're testing something norms is still the way to go.

If anybody is flaming in bots, that's just a new/toxic player being frustrated over nothing, you'll get that everywhere but likely in a bot match. I know when I joined I went to like level 23 before my first norm and never had a toxic experience, on my smurf though I've seen people get mad about a new player following them to lane because they don't know better. Like I said its just a better new player experience then a norms where skill difference is bigger, otherwise theres more gain in just playing norms.

Conversation is done. You clearly didn't read a word before responding since stage 1.

Guess you're just some one that can't have one then.

Unfortunate.

I'm not wasting time on someone who can't even read their own post.

Uhh... I hate to break it to you, but people in ranked are only there to climb...

As stated, normals are games with low pressure that you can mess around in. Learn new champs, off-meta picks, etc. without losing elo if it turns out Rammus support wasn't working as well as you hoped.

Stupidest idea i ever heard.

You don't fall in normals either, meaning it's more open for experimentation with builds or strategies.

IF THE PERSON QUEUEING ACKNOWLEDGES THE DIFFERENCE

I don't care if you disagree with me so long as you understand that a difference is irrelevant if people have the option of ignoring it.

After a weekend of ranked, I'm bumping this again. If you want to solve the stupidity in ranked, you should really make ranked about climbing, and nothing else.
