"Can I switch with you I only play ___"

If you play a popular carry role and only main that role, you should really know how to play every other role or at least be able to get by.

You will DEFINITELY get autofilled at some point or get put as your secondary, and nobody has to switch with you if they don't want to. If you're playing a role that will end up getting you autofilled eventually, especially in ranked, then you should AT LEAST have 1 champ for each role that you can get by with.

Like I'm sorry you didn't get your role but it ticks me off to no end especially in ranked when adc or mid or top mains get autofilled or put in their secondary and say "I only play ___ can you switch"

Same goes for people who one trick 1 champion. If they get banned at least have 1 other champion you can get by with. You won't get them 100% of the time.

In norms it's not a huge deal, but in ranked...come on...

Riot should bring back the proper ability for someone to pick whatever the fuck one wants to play.

I agree that autofill should not be a thing. I hate it myself. I'm a support main so I never get affected by it but when I do decide to adc (and I've been playing Xayah a lot recently) I find that I get autofilled supports who don't know what they are doing most of the time.

The sad thing is, autofill is a thing, it;s a possibility if you play something other than fill jungle or support. At least know how to play another lane in the event that you get filled and cannot switch. It's not only annoying for you but it's annoying to your teammates too.

I'm not defending it. I don't think it should be a thing.

The fact is though that it is a thing, and it isn't going away, so it'd be wise to at least know how to play other roles in the event that you get filled in a role different from the one you main and don't want to dodge.
